Al Arabia published an article on October 3 ,2012 which says that Russian military general who worked as a military advisor to the Syrian regime was indeed killed by opposition forces on August . Russian embassy in Syria had denied reports that any of its military officials were killed in Syria.

Maj. Gen. Vladimir Kojève was reportedly killed when opposition Free Syrian Army raided his car. Following his death, a number of documents were obtained from his personal briefcase which was found inside his vehicle. One of the documents found inside the briefcase was an ID card with Kojève’s name and birth-date (1956). The ID card, which was issued by the Syrian authorities on June 26, 2007, gave him full access to all Syrian security institutions.Kojève car was ambushed in the Damascus suburb of al-Ghouta and he was killed with three of his companions according to opposition sources

Russia should recognize the enemy they have in Islam and work to reduce the Jihad they suffer on their own soil before propping up jihadi regimes in an attempt to stymie the Western powers.

Remember Beslan.
Defeat Jihad.

And at the same time, the West should not be supporting Muslim Brotherhood linked insurgents in other countries. As much as i dislike Assad and his iron fist rule, things will be worse when the insurgents win. Israel is being hemmed in by extremist governments. First Eqypt, now Syria. It is painfully obvious these insurgencies are only destabalizing the region more.

Lately my only conclusion is the West WANTS these extremists in power, they keep supporting them. Why? Better the devil you know, i say.

Perhaps wanting extremists in power to perpetuate the bloodshed, sell more weapons, and allow them to exterminate each other..

Thats what they are doing.

Although unpleasant corrupt and repressive the Syrian regime isn't an Islamist one, has never been, they are Ba-athist.

What follows will have more of an Islamist bent to it as the Sunnis are empowered under the patronage of looney tunes Saudis.
