Obama Romney Debate #1: What Happened?

Ok, I'm here in Las Vegas on business and I just happened to miss the first, long awaited debate between Obama and Romney.
I'm already slightly discombobulated by the 2 hour time change but I know the debate is now history.

I next launch my browser and immediately connect to ATS and find nothing?

Same old same old about the usual stuff but nothing about the the debate.
I then launch Twitter and almost immediately I read about Bill Maher GRIPING about Obama's performance, which immediately brings a smile to my face because this tells me his million dollar investment has just gone up in flames.

So I'm asking my ATS compadres, what happened?

Who won?

Romney pretty much destroyed Obama is what happened. I think a lot of people, myself included, are picking our collective jaws up off the floor right now. This is not what I expected at all.

Obama had severe teleprompter withdrawals, couldn't focus, had to be reminded several time what the topic was by the MOD, while Romney won over the hearts and minds of America....yep...that's about it....Oh...Chris Matthews on MSNBC crapped his pants on air while screaming at Obama for doing everything wrong during the debate....

67% Romney win, 25% Obama win

Dennis Miller tweet: "Obama better hope ass-kicking is covered by ObamaCare."

Well the first question was to explain the difference in their plans to create jobs. Obama explained his strategy first, then Romney basically repeated exactly what Obama had just said. Then from there on out, to my surprise, Obama got served. They both knew it too. I almost expected Obama to endorse Romney before it was over

And yeah - Romney is the striking horse from the gate but wait - what's that he just said?

I do not enjoy these debates, had to force myself to watch, I was afraid of a repeat wimp out like McCain 2008.

Oh my god I am so glad I watched!

Oh it was just so much fun to see the great one exposed for the faker he is!

Oh karma forgive me, but it was wonderful!

I can't wait for Ryan/ Biden next week....lining up the menu and drinks.

Why is he a loser for saying he won't lower taxes on the wealthy....that is what that statement meant if you are quoting him properly?

Bill Maher is asking what happened to Obama, is shocked at his performance. Wonder if Bill is kissing that million dollar donation he made to Obama goodbye...

Mitt was brilliant, no doubt. But he also completely distanced himself from the core principles that have guided the Republican party for the past four years. This was anything but a passionate defence of conservative values.

I suspect the President will bring his A game in round 2.

In an after debate focus group, I watched 24 undecideds raise their hands when asked "who has now made up their minds".. Of those 24 people, all of them said they decided to vote for Romney based on tonight's debate.
