Yes I do believe there was symbolic significance behind this and a good deal of the other space missions. This is a moon or space conspiracy worth debate.

I am sure that is talked about somewhere on here. This was just a personal observation from what I know about history and the moon landing.

The history of the United States has a lot of symbolism involved from the all seeing eye to the first president in a Masonic garb. Why should the moon be any different? Problem is I don't know enough about it to debate rationally and logically just observational or topically.
