And one more for the heck of it.

The Least Probable Scenario[OWWC]

I did a story on how the press turns out after four more years.
There was too much to write a story on just Obama and the USA.
I had to take one segment and go with it ....

Press Clips - OWWC

I may do another later .. but this is what came to me.

Contrasting MSNBC and FOX talking about Obama now
.. and then flipping it when Christy gets elected in 2016.

I had to add in a space alien kid at the end saying what was really going on ...

One more for the day and then I am off to read the others.

Washington D.C. Is Consumed By Light[OWWC]

I put this in my story but im sure it got taken as fiction.

The inauguration day of Sunday January 20th will in fact be a private ceremony; the public ceremony will be the the next day.

I follow politics but don't actually know the purpose of this first private ceremony, or if it has been done b4.

Food for thought

Yes... I did.

I try to give a lot of leeway in the SS forum (artistic license et al), but a few Terms & conditions rules are kinda unbendable. Other rules may be more open to interpretation and while that's mostly a good thing, staff may or may not agree with my personal take on it.

Censor circumvention, though, is a bit of a slam dunk since it's seen as evasion of the automatic censor installed on this website to keep the Net Nannies from shuttering windows and pulling drapes.

Better late than never, My first contribution, to this month's contest.

It's more of prologue than an excuse to write more Horror for the month, but I am now sufficiently poised to crank out a few more graphically horrible short stories for the contest.

(I'd like to thank smyleegrl for the hook idea!)

Thanks to everyone that took the time to read this month's stories, to Masqua for his time and effort spent with the Short Stories forum, to all the writers who submitted their fantanstic tales throughout the month, ...and of course to His Fluffiness for inspiration, as well as his own great story for the contest.

See you all in the next Writing Contest thread.

Congratulations to isyeye and beezer for providing the winning entries this month. You earned our flags, and your stories are well deserving!

To all the other entrants: Don't despair, there's a new contest coming up! Your stories were as satisfying to read, but we all know, there's only three spots at the top.

See y'all in the next contest thread!

I'm going to wait until the [BMHWC] contest is wrapped up before announcing the next contest, if everyone doesn't mind.

I was thinking of a poetry contest this month. There's been plenty of requests for one in recent months.
