Because it was a tried and tested way to move a relatively large cargo load be it equipment or personnel stealthily using current gen(1940s) technology.

Your reply is missing the point of the thread's title. Now is meaningless. There is no evidence to support the thread's intent dealing with Nazis which were back in the '40s.

Nothing came out of WWII to support evidence that hasn't been seen.

I'll definitely admit that I don't know everything; but I do know a hell of a lot!

Including the "Hutchison Effect" serves no purpose as nothing groundshaking has emerged from that weirdo and there was a documentary shown duplicating all of Hutchison's "effects" without all of the electronic paraphernalia.

You are right! I just keep a open mind to all things includeing thing I have heard within the military that were on the QT.....always question.
