'US ambassador killed' in Libya protest - live updates

Foxnews just broke / confirmed the US Ambassador to Libya has been killed. 3 Staff members have also been killed and 1 other staff member was killed earlier. The State department has only confirmed the Ambassador and the 1 staff member.

While I am for religious toleration I am done with these pathetic cowards who defile their own religion in the name of Allah. They need to pull their heads out of their asses or we can do it for them. If the goal is to get the US out of the region attacking US personnel, including diplomatic staff now, will not do it.

Apparently they failed to understand attacking an embassy under intrnational law is an act of war. I say, since they declared it, we finish it.

Libya should be given a choice -
Either do your job in protecting our Embassy and our personnel, including tracking these cowards down and holding them accountible...

Or we will do it for them.

I need to find it but the US Embassy released a press release basically apologizing for the "anti Islam movie" that was made. I was stunned when the White House and the State Department publically stated that release was not the position of the US government.

it was supposedly made by a jewish guy,but i cannot confirm that.
it reminds me of a montey python movie.
i'm not muslim,but it is a rediculous joke of a movie that only intends to bash another person's beliefs.
i'd be pissed too!
stuff like this makes it all to easy for the west to rev up war fever!

I guess the other thread got deleted, so I will post the information in this one.It is being reported that the filmmaker is now in hiding, but that's not the only interesting piece of information.

The two-hour movie, "Innocence of Muslims," cost $5 million to make and was financed with the help of more than 100 Jewish donors, said Bacile, who wrote and directed it. The film claims Muhammad was a fraud. An English-language 13-minute trailer on YouTube shows an amateur cast performing a wooden dialogue of insults disguised as revelations about Muhammad, whose obedient followers are presented as a cadre of goons.

Anti-Islam filmmaker in hiding after protestsSo who exactly financed this film? This isn't to justify the current events, but one has to wonder if this film and stance wasn't intentional to raise tensions.

Not really...

This attack was retaliation because of a US pastor in Florida who made a movie that looked at Islam and asked pointed questions / made accusations. The radical uneducated tools who constantly defile Islam by doing stuff like attacking an embassy and killing diplomatic staff is not blowback.

So they attack U.S. embassies and kill our people over that ridiculous garbage, on 9/11?

Is there any way they've even seen the movie? This really doesn't smell right. There have to be more factors at play here, even as offensive as that trash movie appears.

The Obama administration is disavowing a statement from its own Cairo embassy that seemed to apologize for anti-Muslim activity in the United States.

Irony or what. Here we have a perfect example of destabilization, the true reason for our continued interference in the middle east. Only morons still ask "why?".

For the record, I'm watching the trailer to this video and even as someone that doesn't believe in religion I can see how it can be highly offensive. It makes a mockery of the entire islamic religion. We have freedom of speech and religion in this country, but respecting the beliefs of others goes a long way. I'm not saying these attacks are justified in any way, but I can see why people would be mad about this.
