In three seperate incidents, six US soldiers have been killed in Iraq. Two were killed in a suicide bomb attack on a US convoy, one by an IED, and
two others killed by roadside bombs late Tuesday.
Insurgents killed six U.S. troops in Baghdad and assassinated a police official in Baquba, while Arab television reported the beheadings of two
Iraqis and a Kurdish politician.
Two U.S. soldiers were killed in a suicide bomb attack on a military convoy in Mosul on Wednesday, the U.S. military said.
Earlier, insurgents detonated an improvised explosive device and killed a Task Force Baghdad soldier in the western part of Baghdad.
And late Tuesday, three other U.S. soldiers died in another roadside bombing in the eastern part of the capital.
The deaths bring the number of U.S. troops killed in the war to 1,086.

The deaths keep piling up in Iraq daily. Will there ever be a "victory" in Iraq and an end to the fighting? I can't see it happenning at the
current rate of resistance.
