I'm pretty certain it's just Google. (I've tried other search engines.)

I don't think we have anything to be immediately worried about...at least not yet.

But I sure do hate the stench and direction of the wind.

Moreover, why do you assume many others are indeed not next?

Two months to implement?

It really does seem to be a Google thing;

If I were a small business that relied on google search results for revenue, then I'd be rathr upset about now.

Government coercion, although typically effective, is generally not a very efficient tool.

If there were a direct attack on supplements, the fight would become much more complicated. Government coerces business all of the time to certain behavior that in a more open front would not be possible.

I'm surprised you seem unaware of this.

I've read your posts before.

Perhaps you should click on a few more links, like this one.

I couldn't produce any results for many items not on their published prohibited list.

Not sure I understand. (I'm heavily medicated, so forgive) but this site looks legit and provides a service.

I didn't understand his point either, and I'm clear as a bell.

ETA: I assume he was attempting to make the point that the small businesses you mentioned being potentially impacted by such a policy are somehow less 'legitimate' than the entities that can be found on his link.

I guess Phage believes OCMs, herbs, vitamins and other supplements should really require a prescription and only be dispensed by 'approved' pharmacies.

They did the same thing last month for ammunition and firearms related Google Shopping results.

Nobody on ATS cared about that though.

Goes to show that nothing is an issue until it affects you directly.

There are alternative engines for ammo and firearms price comparisons. Are there any alternatives for vitamins and supplements?

I wasn't aware they had done that either.

Can you link the thread?

ETA:

Found it.

Google to block firearms related "shopping" results under new policy?

Here's one: www.abovetopsecret.com...

There was one more I believe.

It's basically a half dozen British people saying "get over it" then it died.

Google really seems to be getting one over on you folks. You have my Brit sympathy though.
Mind you I still haven't gotten over Youtube coming down with an iron fist over copywrite and ebay.uk banning the trade of certain WW2 memorabilia.

Glad i dont use google for my online searches. Although i cant say that i have ever really liked them.
I think google is aimed at the masses that are computer illiterate rather than a decent search engine.
I'll stick with my old favorites, they still work just fine.

You doing a shopping search or just a Google search?

I just did a shopping search for "one a day" and for "Centrum" and got no results save two ads.

It has a certain creepy factor to put terms into Google and receive no hits.

I remember last month when Google started cutting the ammunition sales from its Shopping search there was a degradation over time depending on which server you were hitting. One search for 5.56 could get results at one time of the day and an hour later another would get no results but the same search from a different IP would get results. Eventually they all changed over.

Could be the change just hasnt made its way to the server your search is hitting.

I just did a Cdn google shopping search, for "vitamins" and got lots of results. No screen shot from me though, I'm posting from my phone

They want us healthy up here, our doctors believe in us taking our vitamins. They hate it when we take unnecessary prescripts, that takes up valuable doctor time

Working for me.. www.google.de...

Maybe some national restrictions.

Interesting... the google.de does return supplement results, google.com doesn't ...not a conspiracy theory, it's a fact... the real question is why? ..no clue.

But I don't really care much, I can always go to amazon.com or drugstore.com ..
