My hats off to your Dad for doing what was needed to protect his family. At the same time, I'm sorry your parents sold their planes and moved when you were a kid, but they did what they thought was best. And evidently, it was the right choice. At least you were told the truth as to what really happened. Can't trust no one except family....

I'm still searching for more on this story to see if the family was more at fault or just an escape goat.
