Democrats are significantly less likely now (39%) than they were in the summers of 2004 and 2008 to say they are "more enthusiastic about voting than usual" in the coming presidential election. Republicans are more enthusiastic now than in 2008, and the same as in 2004.

Obama has obviously turned off many Democrats.
Most likely, it's the ones who are STILL waiting for those jobs to re-appear !!
And I would suspect that many have run out of unemployment "benefits" as well.
What's left of their life is not good enough.
They are moving backwards.
The chicken feed assistance is not paying their bills.
Many people worked their rear ends off and now are in the negative columns.
Those "Left-out Legions" won't vote for Obama no more.
The ultra motivated voters will vote for "Romney" --- get ready for Romney Two-Terms !!!!
Does anybody Really think that recently laid off workers will vote for Democrats
All Obama has left is the chronic and the generational supporters.
Not good enough to win however !!

Look, I'm not a fan of Obama any more than you are, but objectively speaking, I highly doubt the Republicans are any more stoked about voting for Mitt Romney, who has about as much charisma as that one kid that always sits in the back of the class with headgear without any friends. He doesn't know how to get his supporters enthusiastic about voting for him, which will make it tough to get the independents.
Like I said, I'm not the guy's biggest fan, but you need to be fair. Regarding the infamous "7-word gaffe," I believe Jon Stewart breaks it down best..."CONTEXT!"

We are all doomed whether the next POTUS is Romney or Obama.
What's the difference? Answer: There isn't any.

It's the 9 word Gaffe that is following Obama around wherever he goes.

Go ahead and ignore the NBC poll that has Obama ahead.
They keep stacking their polls with democrats.
Why even bother? Everyone rolls their eyes when they see the overwhelming number of democrats sampled.
Isn't it odd, that we never see any polls stacked with Republicans?
The Obama Campaign is turning into one big Saturday Night Live skit where
Obama is defeated at the end.

2 groups...control everything and one always gets its way. Over a certain period of time- much disater comes from it.
These two parties have to go, and so do their puppets.

The Ron Paul wet dream isn't going to happen. Make your choice: Obama or Romney.

In the final weeks of the 2010 governor’s race in California, Rasmussen’s results suggested, using more polling “data” than anyone else, that the race was a toss-up. Right up to until Election Day, Rasmussen flooded the media with the view that Meg Whitman was going to pull off one of the greatest upsets in US voting history. So what actually happened when voters went to the polls? Whitman lost to Jerry Brown by 13 points. This is despite the $140,000,000 of her own money she used to lather the airwaves with advertising. This was not a “close race” or “tossup”—it was a slaughter.

There could be a number of factors that make Democrats less enthusiastic about this election.
Obama is the incumbent president! He does not necessarily need to get his base all worked up because they are going to vote for him anyway. I have yet to find a Democrat even hint that they would vote for Romney.
If you go to the Gallup website that you linked in the OP, you also would see that his job approval rating is up. Also, the economic and other key polls indicate a positive move for Obama.
I don't even like Obama, but why do we pick and choose polls to use in an attempt to justify our own political desires?
This poll means nothing! If we take this as fact, then we also have to believe the polls that say Obama is far ahead in support over Romney...but that doesn't jive with your agenda, does it?
Once again, we are blessed with another propaganda thread by Eurisko2012. This is getting old man.edit on 26-7-2012 by sheepslayer247 because: (no reason given)
