He lies obviously at times and then he will switch into a more serious mode where he is getting his real point across. Aside from people calling into the show that he pays and some of his more insane rants, he is actually overall a good person.

It's called 'propaganda' when those methods are employed.

That's what I don't understand. You are essentially a 'Jones apologist' as is the OP. Does not make sense to me.

not the biggest AJ fan.... 99% of what he says is already out there ..

and 99% of what's out there comes to nothing ...

id rather listen to George Noory from coast to coast any day of the week ...AJ tends to shout his opinion's rather to listen to his guests ..

TBH there is that much BS going on in the conspiracy world today that its hard to know whats true and whats not...maybe its all BS ....

to us mere mortals we have to listen to ALL the facts and come to our own conclusions

2012 will go down as the year where a large chunk of money spinning conspiracy's died a death

what ive learned over the years is don't believe everything you read or hear, no matter what side of the fence you sit on ...even if you agree with what your hearing..

Well... Hmmm... Let's say...

For sure, we should not underestimate TPTB, they can do much more than any of us can possibly imagine, that's true...
However, by the other hand, despite of the fact that it's very important to be skeptical about everything and everyone, IMHO we should not forget that the most effective weapon used by TPTB is still the old “DIVIDE and CONQUOR” tactic.

So, this kind of speculation (this thread) without any form of prove or argument, is more likely to be just another form of intrigue “behind the enemy line” (we the people).

I personally, admire more the work AJ does with the research, analyses and exposure of the already in Public Domain available material than the so called "Insider Information" stuff.
Why is it so important? That's because while exposing this type of PUBLIC DOMAIN information that world wide MSM choose to ignore or down play, AJ highlights how the work of an INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALIST should be.
And that's where he is winning the Information War. This guy deserves much more credit and respect for his work than what he gets.
Let's not forget that TPTB need to change the rules of the game.
The UN gangster and their pawns, our World Wide Elite of journalists, politicians, banksters, law makers and so on have to leave a huge paper trail behind them...
Luckily, not all of us little people are blinded by sport or the tasteless celebrities “show” that the MSM want us to believe are the important News of the Day.

By the way, the chances are higher that the CIA would pay some nickels to some trolls to write and comment on a thread like that than to pay millions to some AJs to scream about Fast and Furious like stuffs...

Let's keep the shields up, but never forget the “DIVIDE and CONQUOR” tactics and last but not least...

It has become very popular to hate Alex Jones, actually I would say that it has become a meme. All I ever see is conjecture, edited audio to make him look bad, and flat-out nonsense where's the proof that he's a CIA agent? A lot of people like to use the example of him blurting out that the arabs control hollywood. Actually, arabs do invest in hollywood www.businessweek.com... Oh and of course, the number one meme associated with alex jones: He's a fearmonger! No, he's not. The things he talks about are scary, theres no getting around that. Big deal, we live in a very scary world. If you study other tyrannical governments throughout history, and you observe what is going on in this country, you better damn well be scared. I was freaked out at first after I woke up. I went thru my Neo episode but I got through it Alex isn't trying to scare you for the hell of it. He's essentially telling you that your house is on fire and you better do something about it. But he's trying to sell you things! Oh, like all his movies which are free on youtube and he supports the fact that they are free? Have you ever noticed the set he used to work on back when he first started compared to now? Theres a world of difference. He's running a very professional studio now and he's hired dozens of people that he has to pay. Where do you think the money comes from? People buying his stuff, the ad money, etc. Ooooh capitalism, so evil what are you guys, a bunch of socialists? who cares if he's making money? This is like stupid kids screaming "sellout!!!" when a band gets signed to a big label or something. As if they should scrape by their whole lives. grow up

You are spot on! I agree 100%!
There are tons of threads and comments bashing AJ here, and people like Ben Bernanke and the other "higher humans" get a free pass on the Troll Land.
Is that all what this people get?
It's really disgusting!!

big star for you!!

Alex Jones is working on a New Contest with a $100K Prize...Contestants have to "register" directly with Infowars by filling out and signing a form. First, that prize seems about 20x the average size of an Infowars prize which makes me suspicious as to who is funding it. Secondly, the "sign up-registration" process is a good way to get the names of those who are actively protesting the government. Does anyone else feel that this is all suspicious?

Come on, how stupid one have to be to give his real data? Never heard of Anon surfing?
Are you talking about Facebook or Google?
TPTB don't need any AJ to collect data and to know who you are, they know everybody very well.
They call it INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (a nice tool also used on the "Patriotic ACT"), and believe me... They know how to use it!
You should be more concerned about how they (TPTP) change the legal framework to make all this illegat stuff (IT on your life) LEGAL. Aj screams a lot about it!
Online Registrations like that are not the biggest threat to your freedom!

In SA we didn't really know Alex Jones, but I've recently become interested and started watching his insightful programs and rants, mainly to research Jesse Ventura programs and the Piers Morgan controversy.

So far I think he's genuine, but there are some things I don't like.

He strikes me as a bit of a sham TV preacher for conspiracy theories, especially in his delivery.
That is, I think he has some genuine passion, but he's also a businessman.

In one show I recall he was selling some supplement powder that supposedly also makes people lose weight.

Of course I think the whole supplement industry is bogus, and if that stuff really works then why doesn't Alex Jones look like Charles Atlas?

I mean selling slimming and health products might not be his best schtick (and "health" lectures are certainly also not appropriate for a rotund David Icke).

But maybe he needs the revenue to stay on air?

I also don't think his passion is fake on some issues.

I find people can be so instantly decisive based on false dichotomies.
Just like some say Westboro is just a scam by a group of lawyers, and not a bona fide church or cult.
Clearly they are also a church and cult (and virtually all such religious organizations pull other scams in any case), as is testified to by Nate Phelps and others who have left the group.

Even if Alex Jones is CIA that would make what he says even more interesting.
No secret service has ever been without double agents, or people with mixed agendas.

Has he? That would make things easier..

Really?
And ATS? Did they?
I think it is a waste of time to try to prove that rumors are just rumors...
I would do like he is doing, just keep doing what he is doing, don't loose the FOCUS and DON'T FEED THE TROLLS!

I wish I could make the money he does sitting his fat ass in front of a microphone and getting people to buy stupid collodial silver snake oil that he shills on his site.

Actually you could... Just give some substance to your arguments, and try to realize that NOBODY can achieve anything just sitting on his own fat ass doing nothing.
It's just too easy to underestimate other people's work.

Please, take no offense... Nothing personal to anybody, I'm just trying to understand the "troll phenomena".
I just don't get your question very well... If you could be more specific, I'd like to try to give my 2 cents to your legit question.

Alex Jones is a man making money off making people paranoid.

He's a showman - nothing more, nothing less. The more he gets people riled up, the more attention he gets and the more money comes in through the door.

You don't have to be a CIA agent to understand that basic fact of the entertainment business. Controversy=money if you pitch it right.

I am sure you can tell by my previous posts on this thread that I am no fan of AJ. And I'm not trying to rub anybody up the wrong way.

What I cannot understand about AJ's fans or people who commend the man is this: he has been proven a liar many times. Yes a lot of his material is spot on, but that means nothing if he is prepared to lie and twist things, infact it is all the more a case to raise suspicions concerning his credibility.

I've listened to AJ on and off for years and there always comes a point when I find him to be dishonest. To me this is inexcusable, and that is what I don't get when it comes to his fans.

Everybody has his own opinion... If this is your that's fine! I have no problem with that.
I just can not understand the amount of energy that people put bashing this guy...
It's like he is the evil out there...

The rest is fine for me.

What I cannot understand about AJ's fans or people who commend the man is this: he has been proven a liar
many times.

Sorry, I probably missed something... Could you elaborate more on this one?

Yes a lot of his material is spot on, but that means nothing if he is prepared to lie and twist things, infact it is all the more a case to raise suspicions concerning his credibility.

I've listened to AJ on and off for years and there always comes a point when I find him to be dishonest. To me this is inexcusable, and that is what I don't get when it comes to his fans.

To have an opinion is one thing, the other thing are the 300 + bashing threads about AJ with ZERO CONTENT and NO SOLID EXAMPLES about the perceived lies...
Why people love so much to target individuals in a so personal matter without the need to, at least, substantiate any of this claims it's beyond me... Don't we have any relevant ISSUES to discuss? AJ gives us plenty. Why not use one of them to better illustrate your view?
Yeah, I'd like to have something more solid to discuss than this "celebrity style" contest we are used here on the ATS site...
It annoys me a lot to see the huge waste of time people spend bashing the few voices that touch upon the really sensitive themes of our times.

Everyone can be wrong from time to time, everyone needs (and want) money, everyone misses or can misinterpret something... That's all fine.
But, it is all irrelevant on the long run.
We still need the ISSUES on the table to move forward and avoid this TROLL FESTIVAL here.
ATS is becoming a 100% waste of Bandwidth, Keyboard and human character...

Sorry folks, if we don't go for the ISSUES, which include people like AJ but ARE NOT MADE of it, this forum will be reduced to just a positive or negative personality cult debate forum that does not get anybody anywhere.
It is getting worse than a pub full of Red Skins and Boston Socks fans talking about who has the best team in the Baseball league (or something like that if you understand what I mean).
In short, AJ is just a messenger with a MESSAGE and AJ's opinions about the MESSAGE...
Pay attention to the MESSAGE and give your take about it! Feel free to give your take on the take of the messenger (in these case on AJ), but the FOCUS is still on the MESSAGE.

Come on people, why is that so difficult to understand something that simple? It applies to everyone and any news medium out there.
Troll is also a behavior pattern!

I have provided examples of Jones's lies on here in the past and they are always ignored by his apologists.

I haven't the time right now but I can provide some examples in the next couple of days.

Oh... I'm sorry... I haven't read all of your posts, normally I ignore bashing threads...
I will be more than happy to see and discuss (in a civilized manner) your examples.
I thank you for your time.
By the way, the term "apologist" is used when somebody does something wrong, I hope you understand that there is nothing wrong in having an opinion, actually it is a RIGHT. In the US it is included in the first amendment:
"The amendment prohibits the making of any law respecting an establishment of religion, impeding the free exercise of religion, abridging the freedom of speech, infringing on the freedom of the press, interfering with the right to peaceably assemble or prohibiting the petitioning for a governmental redress of grievances."
It is all in the scope of FREE SPEECH, so I will ignore this part of your comment and not see it as a "name calling", if you don't mind.
Best Regards

I appreciate you civility.

However, if you think I am simply making up the fact that Jones has been caught lying then you are not a very well informed person, all I have to say to that is 'Y2K'.

I honestly don't see the point of elaboration concerning Jones's dishonesty if you regard my efforts as "bashing".

You are also incorrect in you definition of apologist, an apologist is somebody who defends a cause or person etc. If this thread is supposedly questioning Jones's motives etc, then an apologist is a person who will come on here and defend the man, his actions, his words, his ideas and his lies.

If you would like to discuss this post please do: www.abovetopsecret.com...

One thing most of this bashing has ignored completely. Alex Jones speaks that the truth. If that makes you people paranoid and him money ? I say PERFECt.. Cause you need to be paranoid, as I say it's time we all become completely paranoid.

And further more he needs thee money to put you all where you should be. Sorry I don't think this is very just thread because the man is a man of truth. Shame on you people for not holding that up on high.
