People in the military do pay taxes that gets paid back to the government who spends that revenue on people who have no tax liability, and who get "free healthcare" and other crap.

Whoops forgot that Obama the dude who "won for affordable healthcare" also tried to make the military pay for their own healthcare.

I think I paid my fair share in Taxes,and other people salary's. You can quit with the attitude of superior virtue, friend . This MONEY you say is going to help,is just bigger Government,and you know it. Its not going to help ANYONE . Its going to hurt the Public. I cant wait for this thing,to be repealed . You can still pay my share, since you're all about HELP .

It is kind of odd when government employees like the Military complain about taxes.

I'm not sure that they realize they are living off the government or not.

They have the right to "complain" just like anyone else does which comes to the greatest misunderstanding of the "general welfare" confusion so many leftists have.

General welfare means the well being of the nation as a whole not a "demographic" to promote it's financial prosperity.

Where as welfare is just robbing from everyone to pay for everyone else who does not give back to the society.

So, I read through the list of tax hikes on that site. It seems to me most of the taxes are on the medical industry, not on the average person. My favorite is this little gem: "16. $500,000 Annual Executive Compensation Limit for Health Insurance Executives ($0.6 bil/Jan 2013). Bill: PPACA; Page: 1,995-2,000" It actually looks like some of the taxes benefit the average person by placing some regulations in place. Like this: "1. Excise Tax on Charitable Hospitals (Min$/immediate): $50,000 per hospital if they fail to meet new "community health assessment needs," "financial assistance," and "billing and collection" rules set by HHS. Bill: PPACA; Page: 1,961-1,97"

Apparently, the OP didn't read the list carefully and chose to frame his argument on the premise that these would be tax increases on ordinary people.

Mattered a hell of alot when the left lost governor positions,and mass change over in the house, and nearly lost the senate.

They were mad then few months to the next election how is that going to play out for the left?

I know. I'm a civilian and when I get escorted on a military base it seems very...communist.

Everyone gets a generic home, everyone gets low-low prices at the "exchange" on food/tv's... everyone gets free health care, cheaper gasoline -- and even clothes to wear to work!
