House holds Holder in contempt

It's official.

Holder is in Contempt of Congress !!

Vote: 255-67

Many walked off the floor including Nancy Pelosi !!

Washington (CNN) -- The House of Representatives voted Thursday to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in criminal contempt for refusing to turn over documents tied to the botched Fast and Furious gun-running sting -- a discredited operation that has become a sharp point of contention between Democrats and Republicans in Washington.

The 255-67 vote marked the first time in American history that the head of the Justice Department has been held in contempt by Congress. Almost every House Republican backed the measure, along with nearly 20 Democrats.

A large number of Democrats -- including members of the Congressional Black Caucus and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi -- walked off the House floor in protest and refused to participate in the vote....

When you look at the likes of the CBC and Pelosi, you can clearly see what the problem in America is. Look into Pelosi's face when she talks, that IS THE problem in America these days.

They should all be held as traitors or interlopers and Jailed for walking out on democracy. Fired on the spot.

Kudos to the House. They got it right! Next ... hold Obama in Contempt in November.

Obama said he didn't know anything about Fast and Furious.
Now when his buddy Holder is in trouble, he claims executive Privilege.
That means .. the White House DID know.
So either way .. Obama and Holder lied.
This is bigger than Watergate. No one died in Watergate.
No international boundries were broken ...

What I find interesting is that Pelosi didn't vote "No", she didn't vote at all.

And now, nothing of importance happens. Holder will retain his position but now he will have to answer some questions, maybe pay a fine. Wait and see. If anything actually happens over this then I will be amazed.

They want us to feel like we've won something, like this matters in some way to a greater scheme of things... In reality, a man might get arrested (at most). That doesn't change anything about the way the machine works, has worked, and will continue to work in the future.

This is a distraction.

Next,

They vote on a "Civil Contempt".

I think that will allow a court action to release the papers !!

This reminds me of when little kids play a game, then get mad, flip over the checker board, and stomp off when they lose... :shk:

They got caught with their pants down and those that walked out, couldn't man up to it. It's too bad that the door opens both ways so they can just come back in when they are done throwing their little tantrums.

Why are elected officials throwing temper tantrums? I wish I could have a job where I got to storm off in the middle of the job and still get paid.

Doesn't matter that this is far worse than Watergate. Doesn't matter they lied. Nothing will come of this, it's all for show. Holder will walk.
The whole congress and Obama need to be tried for treason. They have enslaved us all.

The representatives are in congress for one reason... to debate upon and pass or fail a resolution.

I have always contended that any rep that walks out of a vote session (or does not show up, barring medical reasons) should be immediately dismissed and replaced.

Definitely in a case like this.

Pelosi maybe alot of things, but, she's not stupid. By walking out, acting like this entire vote was beneath her and not voting, she isn't on the official record as supporting Holder.

They just passed the "Civil Contempt" vote.

Now it's criminal !!

Now the Federal Courts are involved.

This is good news. As far as walking off. They should all be in jail for treason. Everyone of them who support this criminal activity should all be arrested. Pelosi is an utter disgrace. Unfortunately she is not alone.

Of course she is on record supporting Holder. Walking off is a protest to the proceedings. How more on record can one get.

The funny thing is that there is no proof of criminal activity. That's why the documents are needed. Holder just need time to "neaten up" his files.
