No more life without parole for juveniles, Supreme Court rules

The high court on Monday threw out Americans' ability to send children to prison for the rest of their lives with no chance of ever getting out. The 5-4 decision is in line with others the court has made, including ruling out the death penalty for juveniles and life without parole for young people whose crimes did not involve killing.

Now my question is what about youths who were previously sentenced? Will their sentences be shortened? Will a date be set for them to receive a parole hearing?

It's also sad that this was split 5 to 4. Just another example that the "Supreme" Court is politically motivated. If something is unconstitutional yet 4 "Justices" vote for it, or it is constitutional and 4 vote against it, then clearly they are guided by their emotions and not the Constitution.

Our priskn system is screwed up. Why should anyone get locked up for life witgout parole if they didnt kill anyone? Why do we lock people up for embezzling longer than murderers? Why do we lock people up for any reason at all and then have them make $200 dollar designer jeans as essential slaves? Why is it ok to profit off prisons a la corrections corporation of america? Why do we let murderers and rapists out to make room for marijuana smokers?

Infact the biggest criminals are in charge of everything.

I say let everyone outta prison to make room for all the politicians that belong there. Arm everyone.

Problem will sort itself.
