I was just surfing around the old internet today and came upon this story and found it totally fascinating. I have not ever seen anything like this and just wanted to share it with my fellow A.T.S. Members. I hope you guys find it as interesting as I do.

Mail Online

Extraordinary pictures show America as it has never been seen before. These stunning CGI images reveal what the nation looks like from the skies, and how its transport and communication infrastructures work to power the vast nation on a daily basis. Everything from the routes taken by Manhattan pizza delivery drivers on a Friday night to Domino's Pizza truck movement across the country are replicated in breathtaking detail.

Here are some of the photos from the story....

Way of the dead: These lines show the unpublicized transportation of dead bodies, some clearly being repatriated to their home states from the U.S.'s retirement mecca state of Florida

The route of a family-run combine harvesting business as they zig zag across the U.S.

U.S. electricity network laid bare

Snack time: GPS trails reveal the routes taken by cycling pizza delivery riders on one Friday night in Manhattan. Each rider's shift lasts eight to nine hours, in which time they can deliver between 30 and 40 pizzas all over the city

Unemployment: The number of job losses in the U.S. chronicled in this stunning image

Many more photos like these one the link I provided. Also, there is a few videos on the subject by PBS UK.

So if you have the time, check it out. It's fascinating to see all those statistics that we hear and sometimes take for granted put into a easy to understand visuals that are quite beautiful and in my opinion, works of art.

I hope you guys enjoy this as much as I did.

Thanks!
I'm glad you like it and I hope that others do also.

I have to go wash some dishes, (They don't do themselves) but I'll be back in a few.

Out of all the photos on the link I provided, this is the one I like the most....

Linked in: The vast array of towers across the U.S. that enable almost anyone to communicate or connect to the internet, wirelessly

I'm going to make a poster, frame it, and hang it on my wall.

You must be the only ATS Member that thought that this thread deserved a reply.
Must be the lack of aliens or doom and gloom.

Whatever it is I just made the thread because I thought it was cool. Like the old saying goes.....
Art only exists in the eye of the beholder.

Heh I guess so. No potential for death, mass destruction, or economic collapse in this thread

We're now connected more than ever. Well except Montana, they need to catch up some. Captain Obvious, reporting in!

California is doing so well on that unemployment image. That one really surprised me.... Yet at the same time didn't.

Secret corpse flights, all represented on a graphical image. Not so secret anymore? Hmm...

You aren't kidding about the unemployment image.

My little state, (Ohio) is lit up like a Christmas tree.
I knew it is bad, but I had no idea how bad it is here.
The image really puts it into prospective.

Must be my morbid side, but I found the secret corpse transportation fascinating

Very busy little speck we live on!

S & F for such a cool thread

What if there was a corresponding dark spot for every person hired?

I dare say the overall image would be much less spectacular.

The Image would be less spectacular, but people would have jobs and that would be great.
