Hi.

It's a great city I didn't mean that but the temp. this week is going to be murder!!!!

Today it's supposed to reach 113 it's not even 9:00am and it's already 95 degrees!

I've lived here most of my life so I know how hot it can get but it seems really early in the year for it to be this freaking hot!!!!

I know that Phoenix is a good city; but I am grateful I am not there right now....that temp is just too high!

I live in Seattle and right now it is overcast, raining and 52 degrees...if I could... I would send some of our weather your way.

I hope for you right now a huge temperature drop.

Pft! 113° is nothing for Phoenix! One summer, when I lived there (in the '90s), it got to 123°.

As an aside- it also snowed one winter! Very tiny flakes that didn't make it to the ground, but it was snow!

I live in here in Phoenix........air conditioning, a pool and ice cold beer eases the affect of the 110+ temps.

I was here. I remember they shut down Sky Harbor for awhile. They were worried about the air pressure in the tires because of the heat.

Wait until we get into July and August. I predict record highs will be broken.

NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

To break records that time of year it would have to be well over 115 degrees. Sometimes over 120!

I hope you're wrong but it is off to one hell of a start!

As Walter from Jeff Dunham,

It's a dry heat. lol

113 is to hot for me, and here in Ky it's humid as hell

I haven't lived there but I've been there plenty of times and one thing I definitely noticed is the heat there is a different kind of heat.. I can tolerate it much better than the thick humid heat I'm used to .. it's edging to 65% humidity today with a high of 94 degrees.. Pheonix is at 13% humidity and 97 degrees right now.. that would feel so much better!

Don't get me wrong.. hot is hot, and it increases the chance of fires.. but I'd gladly take 97 with 13% humidity over 94 and 65% humidity any day.. it was 80% humidity last week and that was horrible even at night when the temperature was in the 70s.. AC doesn't work so well when it's that thick

I agree that humidity makes it worse.

It just seems it gets hotter earlier in the year and cools off later in the year.

I can remember thinking well if we make it through August it'll start to cool down but now it seems like it's still in the 100's on Halloween.

Every summer I say I'm going to move but I don't know where to go that is any better.

We have almost no threat from nature other than the heat. We get flash floods and a tornado once a decade or so but that's about it.

So I guess I'll just suffer through yet another summer. ugh

Really?

When you go outside and stand in one spot, don't move, and begin to sweat......it's hot.

Later this 'summer' I'm going to fry an egg on the sidewalk. Maybe some bacon too.

I'm going to send a live feed to ATS.

You see. It's only 1:25pm and the temp is 109.

I was out there.

The closest store which is Fry's ,(Kroger), is about 1 mile from my apt.

I used to get a ride from or use my girlfriend's car but she isn't talking to me
.

Still I'm used to walking or taking public transportation which sucks but when you have to get somewhere it's better than walking. Especially when it's 110 degrees.
