Who's playing politics now?
Romney and Rubio - a pair of clown shoes.

Benevolent or not, he has side-stepped his position and has overreached his authority. He cannot summarily decide what laws he likes and dislikes. His job is to ENFORCE the law. He is not doing that. Not only that, politically speaking, it was short sighted. He was already leading in the Latino vote. I doubt this will fundamentally alter the 61-39 spread very much. However, he is neck and neck in the rust belt for michigan, wisconsin, ohio, and pennsylvania. All of these are blue-collar worker states. What he has done is make it HARDER for out of work Americans to find work and this will have the effect of increasing underemployment. Illegals, historically, accept lower wages. Which means those who compete against them ALSO have to accept lower wages. He may have just rescued himself in Colorado and New Mexico, but he probably just lost Michigan, possibly Wisconsin, and the races in Ohio and Pennsylvania will now shift in favor of Romney. Short-sighted all around. Not to mention a horrific example of his low opinion of constitutional law.

Rubio was working on a legal law for all immigrants, now he can't do this because Obama has an executive order for some immigrants. Rubio doesn't even want to be Vice President. This was something he was very passionate about, and Obama takes the credit now. I think it's all talking points on Obama's part. Just to get more votes. Rubio was actually trying to get this thing to pass legally without the power of the President, and while it's funny that republicans are barking at Obama for doing the same thing.

And he still could push this forward if he really wanted to. Enforcement policy of current law does not effect proposed new laws.

BUT...if Rubio moves forward with this...it is an endorsement of Obama's enforcement policy...because the two match exactly. He knows no Republican will vote for something that Obama is already doing...because that makes it look like they support Obama and they have already declared they will oppose anything Obama supports.

Rubio is playing politics...he won't do what he believes in because it would look like he is supporting Obama. Republicans are playing politics because they won't pass a bill that Obama is in support of.

Obama is just making them all look like obstructionist fools....and it is brilliant.

Why don't you see Obama is playing politics, and it's costing the Latinos. Now nothing will be done and no progress will be made, Obama knows this. He doesn't care, as long as he is elected whoever suffers is inconsequential. Obama can't allow a Republican to get any credit in Latino circles so he can lock the vote, it's brilliant, a purely brilliant political move where the people end up suffering. Washington as usual.
