Just found some news about the uk putting in 5m to help pave the way for the aurora programme which aims to land astronauts on mars in 2033

This doesn't cancell out the existence of the spy plane, programs names are often picked by someother name which people know about, like the Aurora borealis.

I have heard of this a few days ago, I think this will be good for the world to have more then one nation reaching for another world.

Good link evecasino!

Slightly off topic: I finally have something to back what I was thinking about the Aurora...

It was always surprising to me that for years and years now people were debating the existence, performance,... of the Aurora (supposed to be TR-3B). Surprising why? Because all the while the F-117 and the B-2, to quote only those ones, were developped and tested, nobody spoke of them. Nobody knew. Only very minor leaks.

Now, why and how such a project, probably at least as secret as the B-2 and F-117, would have been so widely and openly discussed by thousands of people all over the world and for more than 10 years now? Because it would be a complete fake, a cover... Anyone remember the "famous" F-19? There was even a Microprose game that was a simulator of that plane. It never existed... But I said it now, a cover... A cover for what? Who knows, but I firmly believe that that plane, Aurora TR-3B, never existed, doesn't exist, and will never exist...

Back on topic, I had heard that the ESA was planning to send people in space, and I am quite happy that it is now official... I will probably be too old when people will be allowed to go in space, on the moon or on Mars even, (I mean people like you and me, not trained astronauts), but at least then, there is a chance I'll witness another small step that would be a big one!

Some spelling & typos

Nobody spoke about them cause no one knew they existed, while the Aurora name was accidentally typed in an official government document, it was typed below the SR-71 and B-2, and then theres the cancelling of the SR-71, which everyone knows wasn't for money reasons. The excuss of it been retired at the time was "satellites do it better and faster and cheaper". Which isn't true, they can take hours to get in place just right, they cost billions to build and launch, updates to the satellite is impossable, unlike the SR-71. If recon planes are a thing of the past then why are they still making them? Like the Global Hawk.

The Europe Mars thing is totaly not related to any other program called Aurora.
