How do one change the color or add a background for the area

< - - - around the avatar. Can't find any options in the control panel for this.

Go to the U2U (Member Center) and click on ATS Store (on the left hand side), then see:

Custom mini-profile background color 250

or:

Custom mini-profile background image 2500
