I will start posting one good deed per day. The reasons are complex, but let's just say that I've become very critical of all the religious/philosophical talk. At the end of the day it means absolutely nothing if you don't do good in the world. I realize that "good" is very subjective, but maybe some will join me here so we can all get a bigger picture of what "good" looks like.

Here it goes:

My wife is working today, so my son and I have some quality time together. I'll take him to the park, have lunch on the grass, and will talk to him about the concept of Memorial Day. I hope the conversation will strengthen his moral compass.

Good for you

I think I will call my folks tonight and tell them how grateful I am that they provided a healthy and loving environment for me growing up.

Peace and positivity.

That all depends on the individual circumstances. Sometimes it's a person, sometimes it's the consequences of the circumstance.

This is a brilliant thread idea

With so many "dark" and "argumentative" topics on ATS, this one will be as awesome as "funny pic" but with the plus it's real life actions being taken.

I think you've hit a home-run on this one AllIsOne, a many kudos. I hope it catches on so much that others participate in the concept of "good deed of the day". It would certainly put some faith back into humanity for alot of those that have lost it.

Today I drove a friend to an important meeting. He doesn't have a car and needed a ride.
I also talked to my mom on the phone and gave her good advice (me thinks.)
