also NAKED solar cells can be used as detectors for radiation.everytime a particle hits it will increase conductivity,or voltage/current.


just cover the solar cell so zero light gets in...then to test it bring it near a smoke alarm which has a small radioactive source in it to test.

use the blueish solar cells that are Not encased in plastic for maximum sensitivity.use a digital $3 volt meter or current meter.

solar garden lights solar cells can be used too.

remember to cover it with a good light blocking thin cover of some kind.
