Here's another shocker...

Task Force 2010, assembled by General David Petraeus, examined the connections between insurgents and criminal networks on the one hand and Afghan companies and their subcontractors for transportation, construction, and other services on the other. The task force estimated that $360 million in U.S. tax dollars ended up in the hands of insurgents and other “malign actors,” including criminals, warlords, and power-brokers.

This is just word of mouth, no source (or none that I want to state) but the American Embassy staff has to keep extra cash on them at all times to bribe the Afghan police just to get back into the embassy when they go out.

I don’t even know how to respond to your post.

Here's a source for you

Sorry, guess I should have elaborated.

There is just so much graft and bribery and just a miserable climate there that what I previously posted was the first thing to come to mind when I read your OP.

Now I know where I can find a job. They overpay like crazy. I wonder who thought Afghans would welcome invaders? We pretend like the Taliban is a fringe element, when it is the whole country.

Having an embassy in Afghanistan is crucial to our national security, and that’s why we should continue paying them millions in bribes, right?

Hey remember the SKIDS of money ..billions that just disappeared In Iraq?
Well, they learned now not to write down the skids of money going to afghanistan

It pays for the dope the mob sells worldwide for no cost to them selves
and taxes pay for the police and jails for those that use it so as to keep the price up at home

this is just a limited hang out I betcha...the goal being the mob wants this money too
so they are calling the whistle on it.
just like the busts you see are always just the little guy.
not the in guy

If it were up to me, I'd leave and take everyone and everything we put there.

Then, if they bomb us, we nuke them. Just one nuke. A tiny nuke.

If they attack again, we use a bigger nuke.

But that is beezzers foreign policy. Bring everyone home. And just show an incredible response if someone attacks us. No talk, no diplomacy.

Just one big-ass red button on the president's desk.

We'll call it the beezzer-button.

I'm with you on this one.

They have no ability to bomb us. And “nuking” them would probably start a world war with countries that actually can bomb us.

We'll call it the beezzer-button.

I hope you never get this button.
