He had 60 days to waive parts of the bill he wanted removed.

He waived the controversial part all of you folks are whining about.

As another poster has pointed out. If there are sections of a bill you do not agree with, you veto the whole bill. Not parts of it.

This now sets a whole new precedence that allows for Presidents to remove sections of a bill they do not agree with. That is a very dangerous precedence to set, and if that is something you can not see... then there is very little hope for you.

It matters not if the President is Republican or Democrat. What matters is the power the position holds to add to, remove, or rewrite bills that came through Congress and then signing them into law in their new form with no vote at all.
