Officials: 1 killed, 16 hurt when storm collapses St. Louis tent, page 1

(CNN) -- At least one person was killed and 16 others injured Saturday afternoon when a sports bar tent collapsed during a storm that swept through the St. Louis area, fire officials said.

St. Louis Cardinals baseball fans had gathered after a victory over the Milwaukee Brewers at the bar, which had a tent set up in the rear, according to fire Capt. Dan Sutter. High winds knocked down pieces of the tent, near Busch Stadium, officials said.

Also USA Today is quoting 100 injured in the tent collapse.

My thoughts an prayers are with these people. I know more bad weather is moving through other parts tonight, so please be on alert. And stay safe....

Some times those straight line winds can be very dangerous and cause severe damage.
