Question about alien avatars

It's something I have wondered for a long time, and finally decided to ask.

I see a lot of people on ATS have aliens as their avatars. Why? If you are one of them (the people who use alien avatars), I'm curious to know your reasons why. Is it because you like and support aliens? Is it because they represent a general interest in all things alien? Some avatars seem to represent reptilians, but it seems to me the majority are of the 'grey' types. Some look scary, some look nicer. Are there any of you who have alien avatars who do NOT like aliens? I guess that's all.

They are more real to me than many people I know.
The avatar in my profile is war minister Ahkna from the Farscape series.

People who have avatars of images usually do so because they are that image.

People with alien avatars are actually aliens, and I am actually Bobby Fischer.

My avatar, or at least the original image before I altered it a little bit, is/was suppose to be an alien of the Nordic or Plieadian variety.

Note: I think this photo has been debunked as a fake, but, the idea of what it represents and the fact that I like the picture is was matters to me.

I've never met an alien that I'm aware of. I don't think i am an alien no matter how alien other humans are to me and how much difficulty I have in relating to most people. I would, however, really like to meet and talk with an alien of any supposed species, if that is they exist.

Well I have a JFK avatar. I chose that avatar as It was a representation of one of my favorite topics here, the one I research more than any other, the one I'm passionate about more than any other and so on.

I imagine the same applies to most of those who have an Alien avatar. Or an avatar on any other topic in particular..

I've seen this picture before. I always thought it looked like Uma Thurman. Thanks for your contribution.

I despise aliens, they are in no way a peaceful entity and in no way will i ever change my opinion.

We are and have been probed for thousands of years, what makes you think that we are able to defend ourselves against another non terrestrial entity when the need arises as it has arisen the past.

P.S. My avatar is not alien as he has goes by the name of BoB
