The reason he's being allowed to be extradited is because of Britain's seemingly one-way extradition policy.
We can't send people back to anywhere else in the world because they need to be protected and they could be in danger... but if the US want them, we bend over backwards.

I agree with you Nef, the guy is a dick, no two ways about and I actually think he probably SHOULD go face trial... no probs.

My comment is just about you wondering "why" he is being extradited.... he's being extradited because the US want him.... plain and simple.
