I realize that this is a very tender subject. But as I have observed lately, it seems to me that race relations have gone to a new low in the US. Both blacks and whites are in the streets. Revenge beatings and murder have occurred on both sides. We are at a tipping point. The most troubling aspect of the new tension seems to be coming from agitators who for the purpose of personal power and gain are stirring the pot of racial anger. I think we are on the edge of a very bad setback for race relations in the US and for a possible race war among blacks and whites, and possibly the latino community.

What, if anything can be done to stop it ?

What if anything can be done to prevent it from happening again ?

Is it time to have racial education classes in our schools ?

I would say its all being orchestrated by the powers that be.

The Elites want us to be fighting each other, its called divide and conquer.

If they can divert our attention to killing each other and stop attacking the government for the state of our nations then they can continue to get rich and lead the good life whilst we all kill each other.

In my own country the government here are turning public service workers against the private sector, employed people against the unemployed and citizens against immigrants.

Its all planned, its all done to stop us discovering we are getting screwed over by the elites.

The posturing politicians and the main stream media are guilty of fostering a very bad environment. You have to ask ... why? What could they be trying to work towards? It's so obvious what they are doing ... is it because of stupidity or is there a purpose to it all?

Answer - Coming massive wealth destruction

The people are falling for it. Just look at the mob mentality - grab the torches and pitchforks - thing that happened with the Zimmerman/Martin shooting. The press purposely stoked the fire and threw in their own gas on top of it .. falsifying information to make it look racial when it wasn't.

I apologize ahead of time, but I am unable to find a nicer way to say this. The race war will be here because human behavior believes that humans the are different are inferior to humans that are the same. It's a superiority belief that has existed since the beginning of time. Nothing can be done to stop it unfortuanetly, but at least you wish to, that is a pleasant sign. As for the racial classes, I was aware that the schools had various assemblies and such where they tried to force people to listen to a person say his point of view and how wrong everything is by yelling and using cliched hyperboles.

Look at the prison systems, its been a race war in the prison sytems forever. It was only a matter of time before it spilled into the streets by everyone who has been previously locked up. Not to mention how easy it is to get stupid people riled up by lets say a rap song. If a race war does happen or when who knows look at whos causing the violence noe and you figure out real quick the aggressors in the matter.

Might not be wide spread though, here in my apartments their are plenty of different ppl, hell my friends here are from Iraq! a country we are supposidly at war with and just the other day we were all working on one of their families cars. Plus the security officers here are black and about as friendly as anyone, the whole race war thing is being created out of pop culture and the recent overhyped over analized murder case which doesnt even merit mentioning by name.

Here is an example of the problem
it isn't the only one
there are a bunch of miss tapes floating around egging people on

NBC isn’t the only network slinking away from overcooking the case against George Zimmerman’s alleged racism. On the March 21 edition of Anderson Cooper 360, a CNN audio expert enhanced Zimmerman's 9-1-1 call and suggested he had used a racial slur, "f--ing coon," as he was following Trayvon Martin. Reporter Gary Tuchman asserted: "It certainly sounds like that word to me."

Two weeks later on the same show on April 4, CNN re-assessed the tape with another CNN expert, and now felt it suggests George Zimmerman was just chilly, muttering the words "f--ing cold" under his breath. Tuchman explained: "The reason some say that would be relevant is because it was unseasonably cold in Florida that night and raining." Oopsy. [Video and transcripts below]

Unfortunately, both the MSM and the politicians are convinced that it is in their mutual interest to encourage strive and hate among the masses. It is unfortunate, that the majority of people fall for this strategy. It can be turned around however, if people just say "no" to this insanity.

I'm gonna give you what I feel is the most honest answer, as I do a lot of work with black and latino youth groups and such, so I see where it's going.

A worldwide epiphany or distraction is the ONLY thing that will stop this race war. This was predicted by Malcolm X over 50 years ago, and it is now coming to pass.

How can there be racial education classes when schools are trying to wipe ethnic backgrounds off the map period? There is also no such thing as an expert on a particular race.

I can honestly say as a black man, that living, being involved, and knowing when to stand back and take a look has shown me that as sad as it is, integration wasn't the most successful thing....

TPTB have been stirring this pot very well for the last few years (since the Jena6 trials) and it's now boiling over. A race war is exactly what they need, to bring about martial law. If we never saw the excuse they would use, this is it.

L.A style riots in multiple cities across the country simultaneously, people would beg for military intervention.

There will be no race war. We've had bumps in the road before when there was a hot-potato issue, and we have recovered from them as we will recover from this one.

For the most part blacks and whites are great friends. I agree however, that the MSM, which has now been reduced to an entertainment industry (might as well watch the twilight zone) is doing every thing they can to facilitate one. Shame on you Anderson Cooper. I liked him much better when he was standing in Hurricanes and junk.

If there is to be a "war", it will be between the "haves and the have-nots", and the MSM will not need to orchestrate it.

I'm not convinced a race war in America is on the table, if only because there are probably more level-headed blacks, whites, latinos, etcetera who'll not be swept up by all this nonsense.

Tensions may be high at the moment, but considering the sources from which the narrative is transmitted my general impression is that we're (as in the public) being taken for a ride. I'm not suggesting all is peachy at the moment, but random acts of violence are not the embodiement of a race: Individuals commit violent acts, whether by exercising violence or passing down an order for some violent act. If some people and/or organizations want to attribute acts of violence to race then they have lost their sense and need to take a long break & reflect on the manifestations of violence. Violence is individual centric, not race centric. Attributing violence to a group is a sweeping generalization which ... really it's a fallacy. A real convenient fallacy that conveniently categorizes a group based on incomplete information and, more than likely, biased information. I simply can't engage in discussion with people who embrace that sort of nonsense.

Anyway, that's my stance.

Honestly...Race is a weak and poorly defined concept and the 'race' people consider themselves and live according to may in many, many cases stands in stark contrast to what an outside observer may think.

this coming race war, unless people will be forced to fight in it according to a tag or label someone else affixes to them, will quickly become so chaotic it will prevent it from being fought at all.

Race War is impossible because their is no such thing as Race...

There isn't going to be a race war. Just how do you think there will be when the interracial marriage rates keep going up? Race relations in this country are better now than they have ever been. What goes on in the prison system isn't because there are a bunch of racists in prison it is a way of holding power for a population that has none. Those prisoners that get released are largely going to go back to whatever racial perspective they had when they went in regardless of what stance they had to take as a means of survival in a prison.

That would help and I don't think a race war will work out even if it tried there are too many factors present to prevent it from going into full process. A selected few may FOLLOW the CROWDS but many will begin to fall back after realizing how stupid a move they are making and the remainder left will be the CORE of the racist standing all together in 1 location. Also these classes would help out 1 thinks but know $$$ is the drive down here so if no $$$ then these classes wont come into existence.

So some suit in Europe/Switzerland/DC is coercing JimBillyJoeBob to take a shot at Tyrone or Jose?

Please explain how. What - does he insult Dale Earnhardt and blame it on a colored person?

Elites what our money - PERIOD

People need to be accountable for their own actions good or bad. There's nobody to blame for this stupidity other than themselves.

TPTB. HA!

I think there's a race war coming. I just don't know how far it'll spread. Personally, I think that the blacks will start it. But only because gangsta culture can speak openly about killing whites while while redneck culture kind of can't talk openly about killing blacks.

Since I'm of mixed parentage, with whom do I side with?

Or do I get to kill everyone?

There is already a race war.

Somehow we went from trying to remove a terrible injustice which had become institutionalized (slavery) to an entire atmosphere of suspicion and hatred. We managed this because of that inherent human propensity to try and attain superiority over others. In a world where each of us has to coexist with 6 (or is it 7?) billion others, and where the majority of people seem to have lost the desire if not the ability to improve their lives, the easiest and most effective way to be superior to another is to make them inferior.

The simple fact is that in many ways we have collectively overcome the angst of past racial tensions... but we seem to enjoy introducing new ones. In my lifetime, I have heard so many references to slavery in America I cannot possibly even recall them all, let alone enumerate them. Yet, no one living in America today who was born here has ever been a victim of slavery; slavery was outlawed 150 years ago. No one today has been the child of a slave. I highly doubt anyone alive today could have a grandparent born into slavery. Perhaps, if they are elderly, a grandparent could have been born just before slavery was outlawed, but that then means their grandparent would never have experienced slavery in a practical sense.

It's been 150 years: a century and a half. Yet, people complain about images of the Confederate Battle Flag because "it reminds them of slavery". Sorry, but that is a lie; one cannot be reminded of something one never experienced.

This entire racial failure has come about, IMHO, because of the very attempts, very misguided attempts, to actually correct the problems that did exist at one time. Political correctness has institutionalized the concept that there are inherent, insurmountable differences between different races. Those with a minority skin color are treated as though they need special protection from the rest of society in even the most basic of things. Take employment: if I walk into an interview shouting "YEE-HAW!", wearing coveralls covered in manure, and calling everyone around me "Yankee", what are my chances of getting that job? Zero. I stand a better chance of being escorted out by security. So when a black man goes for an interview dressed in street clothes, talking 'ebonics', and giving out the impression that he considers everyone he meets a racist, what are his chances of getting the job?

They are the same as mine. In that we are equal.

But the difference lies when I complain about inequality and am laughed at, yet the black man who complains is coddled and pitied and 'helped' through social programs. We are treated equally by society, yet politically I am subjugated while another is exonerated based on nothing more substantial than skin tone. Equality would suggest that both of us be laughed to scorn, but political correctness means that doing so to a black person carries the burden of social derision and disciplinary measures.

If there is ever to be equality between the races, many things must change. First and foremost among those many things is that people must move away from attempts to fix the past and look toward a future filled with equality. We must realize that equality is not defined by getting the things one wants, but by allowing people to conduct themselves in society as they see fit while bearing the consequences of that conduct. We must realize that most people will respect those of character regardless of skin tone, and those who do not will create their own punishment for their improper actions; there is no need for others to inflict that punishment when society itself, left to its own devises, will handle the task just fine.

We have to stop looking at every situation we see through race-colored glasses. We must stop referring to ourselves as "African-Americans", "Chinese-Americans", "Latino-Americans", ad infinitum. We are Americans, and all these silly labels do is keep racial tensions in the forefront of our minds.

We have to understand and realize that we have different backgrounds and different cultures, and that all of us have the right (and I believe the duty to ourselves) to celebrate that culture and history in our own way - while not demanding that others feel the same about our culture. Not everyone we meet will 'like' us, nor will they be knowledgeable about the things that make each of us unique. That is not racism, but ignorance, and ignorance is only a problem when it becomes unresolvable.

The easiest way to enhance ignorance is to restrict communication, and the easiest way to restrict communication is to make utterance of a single word a social taboo or, in some cases, actually a crime.

No more political correctness! I am a redneck. I come from a hardy, stubborn culture of hard-working, self-reliant individuals who tamed the wilderness. I am proud of that and I expect everyone I meet to be proud of who they are. Tell me about yourself, your history, your culture, your struggles... and let me tell you of mine freely. Together we will overcome this divide that some want to force on us, and strengthen ourselves Maybe we will become friends; maybe we won't. We will become better by combating the ignorance that is racism.
