Hello before i start i just want to say im pretty much a noobie when it comes to ATS despite being registered for a year or so, more of a lurker than poster so apologies first 1. If this is completely irrelvant to the site 2. Its in the wrong forum (mods please move if so) 3. Spelling grammar etc im pretty simple minded sometimes and dont sometimes think about things differently 4. Finally if i make general mistakes etc. Treat me carefully

This is probably my first time at creating a decent thread, i tried narrowing down which forum to put this in so i wouldnt waste other peoples time and tried keeping the title as normal as possible with the use of CAPS AND EXCLAMATION MARKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also i would like to add im not here just to get stars and flags

Ok i shall start. After being on this site for a while and read and seen things, heard peoples ideas i probably wouldnt look at the world the same as i do now if i hadnt had been introduced to ATS. We all watch the news and read about all the wars in different regions around the world, we see militias against governments constant killing and bloodshed. All this happens on a daily basis yet so many people are unaware or simply dont care. We read about new military projects that cost millions or billions of dollars and they say how they can carry a weapons payload of certain amount to a certain place in the shortest stealthiest way possible. We hear about millions being spent new tanks, armoured vehicles, weaponry of all sorts. Yes i know i will get a few replies saying that war = money which im not disagreeing with at all, its just sad not everyone sees this.

Reason why i am saying this is i was recently (1 hour so a go) watching BBC news as i was busy and handnt turned it over when they done a small news report on a small village in the Sahara Desert (you might see where this is going). Now ill be honest im not one for paying much interest, but when you see these adverts about Oxfam or The Red Cross about the people struggling to eat or drink it does make you feel so priviledged to be where we are. As i said ive never paid much attention to the adverts as you dont get a real grasp of the situation some of these people are in. However what caught my eye and made me watch the news program was the fact it was the eyes of the children they had in the shelter laying there pretty much showing off their whole skeleton due to starvation and illness. According to the presenter whilst they were filming 10 more children had been bought in. As i watched the children laying there and remember how different it was compared to my baby life and childhood. These kids probably wouldnt even get an adult hood.

Another reason why i decided to post this is because as ive said im not one for paying interest into these issues and im not here to ram it in your faces and get your support it wasnt until i saw the news program that i took some notice. It made me think what would someone think if they saw this planet and what happened on it from the outside, So while our governments spends money like theres no tomorrow on how to strike a target from their arm chair in as quick as possible there are adults, kids, families etc out there that are struggling to live and by live i mean dont having no home or no job i mean as in they are wondering probably if they will see the next day or if their child will be awake the next morning. I just wanted to get this off my chest as i sat there and thought what if all of our governments spent a week helping others spent the money on building proper water works or sewage works, or basic electric systems for light and cooking purposes and basic building work or tools.

Life would be so much be so much better but maybe not for us as i believe we take so much for granted these days, hell i didnt know what to do when i had a power cut the other day.. socialise.. pfft yeh right
. But life would be alot better for the people in those areas who are living there. The mum whos child is starving could watch her little boy or girl grow to learn and get skills and enjoy life. They might not have the luxuries we (us in the modern world) have for exaple smart phones laptops etc but to give someone tools and the resources to live life they feel a great deal of pride and sometimes having pride in yourself can be better than sitting on your smart phone just having completed all the levels on angry birds

Anyways as i said at the start i dont post much (i dont even have an avatar
) so please be kind and gentle. Slate me if you want to for wasting your time i didnt force you to read my rubbish
i would appreciate peoples inputs and ideas, again im not trying to force pointless infomation in your face i just had to say something.

Thank you for your time

Mods: If the thread is nonsense please do as you wish

Good post....

I am a humanitarian, but I am also a realist. The world is totally nuts right now, but if you ask older people, they say its always been this way. But I disagree, as I think we are on the brink of something very bad.

The problem is, neither you and I individually can make a difference to those starving kids in Africa. The fact is, there is obviously a problem in that part of the world where the adults are having children when they can't even feed themselves.

So why should the rest of humanity feel sorry for something that these people have brought upon themselves?

I also realize that other governments of the world bring upon their people undue misery in exchange for greed. What are you and I ever going to do about that at this point? The answer is "nothing." We are going to have to sit back and just watch the world evolve as it has been for thousands of years while man has walked the earth.

It is, what it is.

So while we can be sympathetic, we really have no other choice but to be sympathetic, and nothing more than an observer from afar.

This world needs an intervention from beings greater than ourselves. For we as humans have brought upon ourselves the misery in which we find ourselves. We have nobody to blame but ourselves.

First off, thank you for the post and never apologize for no posting as much as others.

I would like to say that I agree that there is a lot of heart wrenching atrocities occurring all over our planet at any given moment however it is just the product of how humans have developed. At the current time, humankind is not able to peacefully coexist with one another, the result is scarcity, war and poverty. I would argue this is just a step in our human progression, because as you can see we do have organizations that attempt to heal those that suffer and bring peace where there is war.

In 100 years from now we all may be holding hands in peace and love or…….find ourselves at the height of oppression and slavery

As to if extra-terrestrial beings were to observe us. I would say they would conclude we are just in a primitive stage of our development and have no reached a point of mutual co-existence with one another….but who knows….we could just be an Ant Farm to them.

The simplified answer is that a small group of elite globalists are manipulating every aspect of our lives. They are "above the law" and use full spectrum dominance to play us off against each other. At the very least they want to hold all the worlds wealth and power. At the worst, they want to kill 99% of humans.

With that said, all that is wrong is the way you look at it. I believe they will fail, and that all this mayhem is their dieing effort along with the birth pangs of a new enlightened era.

I've also recently found this equation to be true: Reality= Intent x Emotion

That is, your intended actions (with actual actions) multiplied by how you feel about the action (conciously, and MORE important UNconciously) equal the reality we experience.

Take it from me the world has always been this way.
Year after year the media brings the worst into your peaceful livingroom.

As is the way of those who have it nice they throw money at the problem. Assuming it will be fixed.

The world will alway have poverty.
The world will always have dictators major and minor.
The world will always have starvation.

Sometimes you have to turn a blind eye to it. Have we ever cured a problem in Africa? They have to want to change first.

The big difference now is the internet. Now we see the minor tradegies on top of the major ones. Example koney2012. He's been doing it for a long time. If the region really wanted to get him they would have done it by now. Us giving money won't catch him..

This world needs an intervention from beings greater than ourselves. For we as humans have brought upon ourselves the misery in which we find ourselves. We have nobody to blame but ourselves.

They know better. We have to want to change.

Nice Thread. Starvation has been eluded on many posts and threads, but they often are more informational than they are compassionate. Yours is compassionate showing empathy for those in lesser conditions than yourself.
You show your concern, and i sense a bit of frustration that you cannot do more.
For instance; You would like to see the starving in Africa live more comfortable lives?
You would like for those who are ravaged in Syria to live free and have clean water?
You would like for homeless in Great Britain and America, aka the entire world to have shelter?
But you cannot give it to them? Neither can I. In fact when you send money somewhere, you never know where it goes, who got it, or if it did one bit of good.
Our governments are worried about terrorism. But scores...no thousands more die from starvation than from terror attacks. But we spend trillions fighting terror and let the starving starve. Literally.
We cannot send a dollar to Africa because someone will most likely intercept it and keep it for themselves.
We cannot give it to the UN because much of the food they send to Somalia etc is stolen and used to feed soldiers of waring factions in the area while the innocents starve to death.
One of the most horrible deaths to die is that of starvation. We stand idly by as nations and worry about terror attacks, and just let them starve.
This whole thing has me totally perplexed. Some figures to give you an idea of starvation and terrorism
deaths worldwide can be found at
www.starvation.net...
Don't know if I agree with all their figures but it should be close.
Water is more precious in the middle east than oil. Just ask anyone who wants a drink.
Food is more precious to the Africans than guns, just ask a starving child.
Shelter is more important to the homeless who has spent the last year in a cardboard box in Las Vegas.
Yet Americans fly to Vegas and loose their money to TPTB, sometimes walking right past the homeless and hungry to get to the casino.
Sorry it turned into a bit of a rant. but I thought you would like to know there are others out there that are very concerned.

Hmmm? How to say this right...

You are not the first one to make a thread like this, you are just one of many who sudenly realise, that your "awefull life" dosn't compare to those who really suffer.

So what you just found out is, the world suck big time for some humans, much more than you could ever imagine.

The next thing is, you start questioning if anybody else is seeing this, and you make a thread on ATS to get that answear, and there is absolutlly nothing wrong in that.
Then you hope to get an answear which makes you feel you are doing something, that what you just saw was real, and if there is anything you can do to make it better.

Well, there is something you can do, but it takes a lot of hard work, and a lot of money, money only you can raise.
There is the easy way, to donate some of your money to Red Cross, or other humanitarian aids, but there is the risk that you will not see any progress, because you still see the same starving children and such everytime you turn on your TV.

You could voluntere as a humanitarian worker, but they will all ask you to fund your own food, housing and such, because they can't spend the money on you and thats where your money comes in.

Make some money, save up as much as you can, just to aid yourself, and then go voluntere, and tell them you can maintain your own spending of the above.
Now they will gladly send you to somewhere, where you can actually do something, and see the progress of what you are doing, and that is what makes your heart beat, to feed that one child that really needs feeding and medicin and your care.

So why dosn't more people do this?

Because they rather spend their money on a little donation and the rest on a new house or car or phone or....You get the picture

Thank you for your positive and friendly replies .. i have been treated nicely
after all i dont intend to come here and cause offense or upset people

Going to have to be brief as i am off out. After posting this i did think and presumed threads like this had done before and maybe i should of found a similar thread to continue but i needed to say it in my view. as ive said im not here for stars and flags

As for those who mention the global elites and thats how they like the planet run and feed off this, i agree my knowledge isnt that great on the global elites as ive only been interested since ive joined here.

As for ETs and other beings, ill be honest im a believer although ive never witnessed any form of UFO etc. But i believe just because of the vast size of space we cant be the only ones. I do wish one day they do appear and it sorts this world out

Thank you for your time
