Russia is a very strong country in terms of military strength dont get me wrong, but on a totally different level compared to the United States.

We all seen what happens when Russian forces do things, such as Spetsnaz during the Beslan school hostage crisis :/

They only seem strong when they have not been up against the most powerful military in the world. We have them outgunned on the sea, air, and land.

Not interveining in georgia might be the cost of going to war with iran.
air strikes and boots on the ground in geogia for the russians but
no boots allowed on the ground for NATO. Regime change isn't possible
in iran as it is a theocratic state. look at afganistan. getting their Nuclear reactos
and scientist is the best that NATO could possibly do. Unless NATO
is planning to go New Roman theocratic states have to be left alone.

I await the day that their military does not resemble the 1960s.

385+ people were killed in the crisis, 12 Special forces and 334 hostages. 31 hostage takers. 800 wounded. Yet they still called it a mission accomplished?

I doubt that ,but I never did agree those Commie boys were stupid,THEY still aren't.We pi##ed them off pretty badly for Vietnam we deployed stingers, spent them out of the Cold War.But they aren't looking to trade nukes or refight WWII with us
Now it's a big game for position. They see the US as weak so they are watching.

I think Russia is positioning their forces so they can aid in the invasion of Iran.
