Former lurker is now a member, greetings!

Hello ATS,
I've been watching this forum for several years and have used it to open my mind to many ideas and possibilities. It has been useful for pointing out many issues mainstream media ignores, or misses entirely. Plus this site has many VERY aware and intelligent people (plus some others) that I am very grateful to have enjoyed reading.

The past year or so of my life has started to take on so many weird, unexplained experiences that I felt I ought to join up, to either get some opinions or help with my questions (which I will ask later in another thread).

So a very brief background. I am in my 40's and raised by hippies during the sixties. I had a good childhood and was blessed to have a loving family and friends. I am an artist, and a slightly emotional creature, and always strive for balance. In my 20's I dated a woman who had a grandma who, during a visit, told me about her late husband who was in the Navy and had a drinking buddy in Project Bluebook. She told me he had spilled the beans about many things, but mostly just the whole ET phenomenon. A few years later at a job in a copy shop, I met a coworker who had possession of some Bluebook documents. Years later I was relaxing with 3 of my friends at this house that was said to have a poltergeist. Later that evening all of us saw the same faint blurry shape and heard the footsteps. At this point I could no longer make sense of what I was seeing, but it didn't throw me off balance, yet. Then in my 30's I dated a woman who could see ghosts and knew when her family members would die. She also had a young daughter who could see her dead grandpa, and did once with me in the room, I felt the cold presence but never saw/heard anything. Last year one of my dearest friends had a gal he was dating get sick. Well this sickness caused seizures. After months of no answer or real help from doctors, the seizures turned into Possessions. My friend showed me videos of some of the episodes and started telling me details. I was VERY concerned and nervous at this point, but still trying to be strong and supportive. Honestly, fear or not, I was curious about what I could not explain, she was channeling demons, and dead people, and more unbelievable, deities (that what "They" told me at least). The possessions were destroying my friend's life and credibility with his friends and family. I got to witness (not by choice) a possession and this is when I needed help too. The things these deities could read without me saying anything was terrifying me. Then out of nowhere, another person I knew channeled an intimidating message to me while chatting online late one night. I immediately sought a spiritual path as fast as I could.

Needless to say I have been studying the basics of most religions, but tend to stick to Buddhism and Taoism and think meditation is an amazing treatment for me. I have been looking into conspiracies and the paranormal since my experience with the poltergeist back in my 20's. This site has a great amount of knowledge and resources for attempting to answer what I'm seeking. I want to personally thank all the people here who have made an effort to help others seek their truths. I know this is not all of the members here, there will be hazing of course and a few arrogant 160 IQ Hungarians debunking everything (I had to go there).

I have an open mind and a good sense of humor, but I humbly look forward to having some interesting conversations with you folks (the more I know, the less I feel I know, so I'm still learning). Thanks for your time and input

...and think meditation is an amazing treatment for me.

Hey! I'm new here too, haven't even done the intro thread, but welcome! Your experiences sound intense. I've had a few minor things happen to me that have made me go looking for answers too but nothing as intense as yours...look forward to hearing more from you!

Here's a few thoughts before getting onto any one of the 1000's of topical rides at Above Top Secret (ATS), the world's largest Civil & Unique Discussion Community.


* Please check out those links posted above before getting on one of the rides. This will save you a lot of future stress, frustration and possible action by one of your friendly neighborhood Mods!

* Please be sure that you act like an 'civil' adult and are at least this tall to get on any of the rides, (Johnny stretches his arm outward).

* Please remember that some members are very passionate and vocal depending on what ride your all on. You should be mentally fit, stable and have a strong stomach for theories, conjecture, research and evidence presented.

* Please be "open-minded" enough to understand that sometimes the ride isn't always what you might expect. Be aware you also might end up learning something new and 'out-of-the-box' before you get off the ride.

* Please note that at times the ride gets overly-heated and "it's strongly suggested" to get off the ride to regroup one's thoughts before continuing. This will also help guarantee that the ride will move forward without getting derailed or explode into a fiery trashbin.

* Please have fun! But be aware that if you act in an uncivil-like manner, use profanity, intentially spread a hoax and/or get verbally abusive, you will be removed off the ride by a Moderator. This is not only for your safety, but also for those both young and old on the ride with you.


So buckle up, keep your arms within the ride's comfort zone, have fun and "Deny Ignorance"...!
