it's about time you woke up.

now try and get everyone else you know to step away from the remote.

oh well, my problem isn't waking up, it is avoidance and depression. Soce has real problems when a) people avoid issues and b) feels too overwhelmed to fight back.

To the OP. Great post. ty

The solution to this is easy. Switch of your 24/7 365 propaganda box.

Continuing to watch the news simply muddies the water and empowers the propagandist to feed you more disinformation.

Do yourself a favor: unsubscribe from your cable TV service and seek truth from online venues. It was one of the best decisions I've ever made.

Stop watching the pretend lives of actors, and instead choose to experience the beauty of your life, live and in person. You won't regret it.

Oh man we are all on the same page, the sad thing is though that everyone is not on it with us. A lot of the US have been conditioned and brainwashed into thinking that this way of thinking is crazy. It's really sad what advertisements and little subliminal messaging can do to a person or society that is unaware. The thing that really upsets me is the effect that advertisements have on the human psyche. IMO women get it the worst when it comes to persuasion with TV and Magazines. "If you do this then you will be the talk of the room" or "see what men have to say about what their significant other likes and doesn't like about them". Television really sickens me as i cannot stand to watch more than 5 minutes of any channel. Slowly but surely i feel that mainstream media of any type is dividing us when everyone should be opposing this and uniting. This is really funny because I was just checking my email and while on Yahoo they had a article stating the United States as number 5 in the most friendliest places on earth.

HOW?

It was original on the Forbes website, also if you notice a lot of the "NEWS" on yahoo news isn't really news at all, just more pointless media being thrown at you. This country drives me insane.

Sorry here is the link, I forgot to post it. Worlds Friendliest Countries

Did you ever wonder how it got this bad?

Didn't see any of this coming....? Just hit us like a ton of bricks?

An ounce of prevention would have been worth more than a pound of cure.

I love how all of a sudden in 2008 everyone wakes up and discovers the government isn't working for them and they want to dismantle it. Come on. This was a long drawn out process and as soon as we were attacked on 9/11 it opened the door for a whole new method of controlling people and monitoring their actions here in the USA.

If you spoke up then you might have prevented this mess but I think you let the horse out of the barn already and now you are scrambling to close the gate. That horse is long gone.

Is it necessary to ridicule and mock a girl with downs syndrome to make what ever point you are trying to make there? Isn't there a more chivalrous way to state your complaint without harassing or demeaning the handicapped?

It's not my photo I got it off Google. I also worked closely with Down Syndrome adults for years, and they have a better sense of humor than you and I have I assure you. They'd find that picture hilarious. The point of that was to point out that "high functioning" adults are becoming retarded in America, that's a fact. Some of the staff I worked with had lower IQ's than the people deemed "mentally retarded".

ahh..a tv bashing thread. I officially stoped watching tv in 1995, although i still watch the occasional film. TV is the biggest psy-op. I think the percentage of brainwashed americans is greater than 80%, it's probably more like 90-95%. Its so insidiuos, most people have no idea that they are being manipulated like a toy doll. And this brainwashing is spreading worldwide like a virus. Even those of us who feel like we are not brainwashed feel helpless to sway the programings effect on family and friends.

Mainstream media has us in a chokehold as the polititians and corporations take turns kicking us when were down!

Its very difficult for any issue to be protested any more when any time someone brings up points against the establishment they get laughed out, ridiculed by nonintelectuals, or just completely ignored by the media all together.

Now with the SOPA legislation and admission of the government collecting personal data on social media sites we're right on the cusp of having our last speaking platform pulled right out from under us.

Add in the possibility of "indefinite detention" just for speaking out against the establisment, and now many of those who would normally be speaking up against these issues are now so horrified of being deemed a domestic terrorist that they wouldn't dare speak out.

When all the means for the people to unify have been ripped away from us, those remaining that still fight for change now feel like a mouse backed into a hole trying to take down the mob of "fat cats" outside.

It truely is fearmongering at its best, and both political sides are just taking turns being the bully.

Now don't get me wrong, I do watch all the major news networks...but then again, I like cartoons!

america is a victim of it's own hypocrisy. the same hypocrisy that has trashed the middle east for decades and made enemies of an entire religion.

now they're turning on you to maintain perpetual power that is shared between two parties. much like the caesars of rome and the triumvirates.

america is the modern roman empire. in almost all aspects, especially it's politics where the elites rule the empire in the senates.

rome is now italy. all that's left is ruins. even the language is gone.

but even the romans where smart enough to give the people what they want.

The problem isn't not knowing what is wrong, they all know it. The problem is no one wants to do anything about it. It's kinda like my wife. As long as she knows she can go to work tomorrow, eat out on Friday night and occasionally go out she is happy. She doesn't want to hear the "gloom and doom" stuff. She doesn't want to know what is really going on. It would require her to think and act appropriately and she just doesn't want to be bothered. She wants to think everything is fine and dandy. This is the problem She knows we're screwed, she just doesn't want to be reminded.

As more and more people decide they do want to know, things will start progressing, and it won't be long before the straw that broke the camels back finally falls. By then, nothing but a violent revolution will put an end to the madness. Like it or not, we are headed for a showdown...American citizens vs. government. It's coming, and it won't be pretty. I expect next year will be the year it all boils over.

Don't mean to be a crusty * wrinkle here, but some of us (Jim Marrs, Mark Lane, William Cooper, etc.) have been saying this since the Kennedy Assassination, and the next Kennedy Assassination and the King Assassination, and the Viet Nam War, and the ... Well you get the idea. Personally I caught on when I learned about the JFK Assassination in high school - I was only in Kindergarten when JFK was done in - and I have been livid about it ever since. But...

Almost every time any of us have tried to tell anyone about it they treat us like our cheese had slipped off our cracker, so to speak.

To my mind it is a little too late for the surprise and shock to be valid anymore. In fact - and this is not personally directed by any means OP - Jon Lovitz' line from "A League Of Their Own" comes to mind; "well, look who just caught up!" I mean some of us are exhausted from clanging on that damn warning bell for most of our lives - a thankless job at best - and would have much preferred to have a normal life. However, do not think that any of us sounded the fire alarm because we were worried about all y'all, because most of the time the general public hasn't acted as though they deserved to be warned. I personally did it for my daughter and her future.

So now that it is almost too late, what do we do about it? I mean I am worn out, and fresh out of ideas. But this guy has one.

and then there is Joe Rogan's podcast with the "guy", Peter Joseph.

Seems like Pete has a good idea here. However, the OSers will be sure to say soon that this is Socialism.

Ya know what? Any form of Government will work if the corruption is removed. Even ours! Examples of Socialist, and even Communist Governments, that have been held up as examples of systems that do not work have not been anything of the kind. They have merely been examples of massive and rampant corruption, nothing more. Therefore, folks railing against the evil words Socialism and Communism, and even Capitalism sometimes, are reacting to the key word that has been programmed into them, but the actual evil behind what they speak of has and always will be corruption.

The other day on CSPAN, I heard an "obvious" african-american caller defending Obama and calling all republicans racists. The guy obviously has no thought process other than "black or white". It is ignorants like these people who vote for color other than the issues that affect us. Obama preys upon these people for a reason. He could speak in tongues and these people will cheer and vote for him. IT IS SIMPLY DISGUSTING!

Agreed! I did that 12 years ago, but only so I could be better informed. What does that say?

I know exactly what you mean, I used to fight with my girlfriend daily because I would try to tell her things that were going on and she would refuse to listen and just say she didn't care and didn't want to hear about any of it. I used to think it was because she didn't understand the world we are living in but I think now I see that she understands it all too well and has an overwhelming feeling of not being able to do anything about it so she plays ostrich and just continues on in her life.

I wonder how many people in our country have this type of personality and I wonder also how many people can be brainwashed and manipulated to feel this way, my guess is millions and it's quite scary. It seems like more than half the people I know are on some kind of depression or anxiety type drugs, didn't always used to be like that.

Yeah, after reading that you start to wonder if the pro Obama people here are agents. Of course I have been contacted by at least one. One has to keep a keen eye out for them. They are good, but if you really pay attention to the posts, you can pick them out.
