TSA officers jailed for stealing $40,000 in cash from a passenger's bag

I searched, did not see a thread with this story.

I have been angry about the way TSA treats our citizens. Especially older people and children. Have not flown since 2010.

Was happy to see a couple of them get caught and put away.

Two former Transportation Security Administration officers based at John F. Kennedy Airport are going to jail after admitting to stealing $40,000 in cash from a checked bag.

Bad, bad TSA agents...

Prosecutors said Persad X-rayed a piece of baggage on January 30 last year and noticed money inside. He then phoned Webb, who was in a baggage belt area, to tell him about the discovery.

It's amazing how stupid people can be. Did these TSA agents really think they're gonna get away with stealing $40,000? Who would miss that, forty thousand dollars, from their bag?

This whole thing stinks of Fail. My favorite part of the article was this,

Police say $39,980 was recovered from the suspects' homes in connection with the investigation.

They spent $20 of their loot! They're going to jail and they only got to enjoy $20 of the $40,000!! This was done at JFK airport in NYC. Do you have any idea how much fun you can have in NYC with 40k? Sky is the limit. These dumb asses prolly ordered a pizza. I mean, come on

Why would some one carry that much cash when you could get Travers check or something else safer.

Probably someone on govt business taking a bribe to someone. If it was an ordinary person who was out the money gov would not care enough to catch and jail the TSA guys.

It's one of the few times where "Where do you come from?" really comes into play. I can't just go and live in The States or Australia or Africa or Asia. I can live and work legally in all EU nations but not other continents. Maybe this is why they really want the NWO.... one world government. One world workforce.

I'd love to see a "one day after thread".
One day after ron paul is elected, what would change, well the TSA would be on the hitlist, as a brit im not sure what other crap you guys deal with but i think one day after paul is voted in the changes would begin.
