I have strived most of my life to be settled with myself. That complete course will probably never come to pass -- perhaps after death... I am happy with who I've become. I am at peace, and I haven't forgotten how to appreciate the wonder of nature and the quiet peace of sitting with a loved one under the stars. I like to work and to work hard and I can't recall a day that hasn't gone by without at least some minor injury. It's all a part of the process of growing and finding your way to live in a way that you believe in, where you can trust yourself, where you can tolerate your own company and feel pleasure from the small, but cumulative, accomplishments and realization of goals. I would be lost without goals, adrift.
