Although somewhat rare, volcanic smoke rings are common around the world. Just Google pictures of volcano smoke rings and more than three volcano's come up in search.

BTW - Hookahs aren't drugs, there smoking devices, it depends on what you want to smoke and the legality of the substance that makes what you're smoking a drug or illegal.

THIS is a smoke ring. I don't know why there is any doubt about it. I've even seen one in person many times...

The cloud coming down as the ring gets up is because the gas in the ring is hot, and as it cools down, it falls back down.

But it is cool to see, tho.

Check out Torroidal Vorticies on Youtube and it shows how these donut shaped rings are created all over the earth naturally.
