Ok...what if...you know the story of Scrooge right? You know how they say when you die you have a life review and what not...so...WHAT IF when you die you're able to visit and inhabit the space and time of various moments in your life and what if in those moments when you thought you heard a bump in the night or a saw a ghost you actually saw or heard YOURSELF from your AFTERLIFE REVIEW?!?!!!

This would fit perfecty with the idea of time being an illusion! What if your afterlife life self likes to mess with your current life self? But wouldn't your afterlife include seeing your afterlifeself messing with your life self or would you cancel that out by entering a paralell dimension?

My future self would not be so foolish, when I hear something go bump in the night I grab a bat and a knife and run after it screaming in a mock imitation of Mel Gibson in Signs. "I am insane with anger!!!!!". My self would know this about myself and therefore would never chance being the thing that went bump. Although if i ever hear a bad imitation of Mel Gibson in the middle of the night I would be willing to bet money that it was really just me playing around before I uh..... died. Weird.

I thought there was going to be a video or something like an example or proof of this.

It's an interesting theory, I could imagine myself screwing around with myself. I agree with the post above me though, I think I would leave some clues around that would improve my current life or prevent me from doing something stupid. My life is pretty boring, I hope I don't have to spend eternity watching it like a bad rerun on tv.

Ha! I'm glad I stumbled on this thread.

Knowing me, my self hating self would continue to punish myself even during my life review. That sounds really depressing, lol.

But I really like the idea of pulling a Biff and then being able to go back in time to give myself the sports scores so I can in turn open a casino and run a mafia town. Think McFly, think! Yeah, I like that better.

Interesting theory. The only flaw is that I doubt one would be able to interact directly with oneself from a different time period without creating a world-ending paradox of sorts! If you were given the opportunity to review your life, I doubt you would be able to interact directly with another version of yourself while doing so.
