This kind of caught me by surprise that the Time Magazine cover could be so opposite for the US market compared to all the other markets for it around the world. What im speaking of is the cover of the magazine. You can goo to thier site and see it for yourself.

www.time.com...

In the US. " Why Anxiety Is Good For You!

In Europe. "Revolution Redux!"

In Asia. "Revolution Redux!"

In the South PAcific. "Revolution Redux!"

I guess thats thier way of saying go back to sleep sheep and don't forget to take your meds. Nothing to see here!

You can't have that kind of thing in the US. We're a structured and control group of morons in bumper cars. We keep our eyes forward and hope no one hits us. We can't handle magazine covers like that.

Nice find!

Interesting find. I guess they figure their readers don't know what the heck is going on over there or don't care. Also, not that I'm a Time reader but I didn't know that they had alternate covers for other countries.

It is even done for different regions within the US and all media practices it not just Time or just the mag industry.

Think market targetting, but also good for manipulation.

That says a lot. From things like this, it is clear that Americans are intentionally uninformed or worse, badly informed. I hope no one seeing this ever buys Time again.

Newsweek did the same thing with their October 2, 2006 issue.

The cover story of this edition that went out to te rest of the world was titled "LOSING AFGHANISTAN"

However, the US edition was about photographer Annie Leibovitz and titles "My Life in Pictures"

Just more proof the our media steers us towards or away from certain topics. They're not simply telling us the news anymore. They're selective about what they report and how the story is told. Obviously someone or some group is guiding the media.

It's not what you say, it's how you SPIN IT.

Awesome find, s+f, I talk to my family and friends about some of the stuff that is discussed here and they look at me like I'm just plain crazy. Most people won't believe anything unless they see it on the nightly news or read it in the local newspaper. What's even worse is there aren't enough people who ask why things are happening. I guess they're all too busy playing with their xbox or ipad or listening to lady gaga. I don't know why Time does this, but they obviously do it for a reason.
