Whoever is obsessed with the fate of the Palestinians, which is relatively light compared to that of many others, also suffers from an excessive interest in Jews

This quote is also disturbing as it clearly suggests the atrocities in Palestine are a non issue and are only the concerns of anti-Semitics. I can't believe a man like this can become a strategic adviser for major corporations. (well actually I can). If one were to say this about the Jews during the Third Rich we would have them hung drawn and quartered today! The double standards and hypocrisy needs to end.

To those who insist on anti-Zionist equals anti-Semitic .....would that apply to people who are solely against Israels Foreign and Domestic policy? If so that would be comparable (IMO) to stating your against Iranian Foreign Policy and being label anti-Muslim. But somehow that is acceptable?

So, by this line of thinking, if one is against the government in Issrael, they are an anti-semite. If one takes issue with the means by which Israel expands its lands, they are an anti-semite. Basically, if one does anything but support Israel 100 percent they are an anti-semite.

Again, what a load of garbage.
If this is the case, why do you stop with anti-semitism? If one doesn't support Obama, they must be against black people, and americans as a whole. If one doesn't support the chinesee government, they must hate billions of chinese people. If one thinks amadinijhad is a nut, they must supprt the genocide of all iranian people.

This type of thinking is fanatical at best, and evil and an enabler of war at worste.

I wonder if people know the Israeli government also has Arab parties represented? So we are disagreeing with a government that has Muslim representatives and yet we are to believe the Israeli government is anti-Islam? Oh the irony.

United Arab List

So Anti-Zionism as a political ideology has nothing to do with facts. I see how it is, one can hate the Zionist Jews and yet those same Zionist Jews allow representation of Muslims within its own government. So are we really against the Jew-Islam government of Israel, or only the Jewish government officials?

So what Islamic nation has Jews and Christians represented in their government? None, zero, zilch, nada....

You would think people would afford Israel the same consideration they afford Muslim governments.

So then you agree that not only are people who are against the Israel government's policies are anti-Semitic, but are also racist towards Muslims? I'm confused by your last post. What are you trying to say?

It really comes down to the point we are trying to make is that many people could care less WHO is a part of the Israeli Government. It's their Policies that we are against.

The Arutz Sheva article seems to be rekindleing an article from Dec 2010.

Why all of a sudden are we seeing rehashes of older press releases?

Former Dutch EU commissioner says "recognizable" Jews are no longer safe in Netherlands due to Muslim anti-Semitism.

Former European Union Commissioner Frits Bolkenstein said that Jews have no future in the Netherlands and recommended that they emigrate to the US or Israel, Dutch magazine Elsevier reported on Tuesday.

According to a book on Dutch Judaism, released this week, Bolkestein, former leader of the right-wing VVD party, said that due to anti-Semitism amongst young Moroccans Jews who look like Jews - those who wear kippahs or payot - should leave Holland for their own safety.
'I see no future for Jews in the Netherlands'

I wonder what "recognizable" means.

Also, I wonder what role the "Jews" actually played in historical Netherlands?

History of the Jews in the Netherlands

Marranos and Sephardic Jews

The Sephardim (so-called Spanish Jews) had been expelled from Spain and Portugal years earlier, but many remained in the Iberian peninsula, practising Judaism in secret (see crypto-Jews or Marranos). The newly independent Dutch provinces provided an ideal opportunity for the crypto-Jews to re-establish themselves and practise their religion openly, and they migrated, most notably to Amsterdam. Collectively, they brought trading influence to the city as they established in Amsterdam. Jews also brought the Atlantic slave trade to the Netherlands, see Jews and the slave trade.

In 1593 these Marranos arrived in Amsterdam after having been refused admission to Middelburg and Haarlem. They became strenuous supporters of the House of Orange and were in return protected by the stadholder. At this time the commerce of Holland was increasing; a period of development had arrived, particularly for Amsterdam, to which Jews had carried their goods and from which they maintained their relations with foreign lands. Thus they had connections with the Levant and with Morocco. The Emperor of Morocco had an ambassador at The Hague named Samuel Pallache (1591–1626), through whose mediation, in 1620, a commercial understanding was arrived at with the Barbary States.

Sephardic Jews in the Netherlands

As a result of the Inquisition, many Sephardim (Spanish and Portuguese Jews) left the Iberian peninsula at the end of the 15th century and throughout the 16th century, in search for religious freedom. Some of them found their way to the newly independent Dutch provinces: independent from the reign of Spain, Sephardic Jews from the Iberian peninsula were free to come. Many of the Jews who left for the Dutch provinces were actually crypto-Jews, Jews who had converted to Catholicism but continued to practice Judaism in secret. Many of them 'returned' to the Jewish religion after they had settled in the Netherlands.

What happened to all the immigrants to the Netherlands in the past 400 years?

Hmmmm

And it would also imply those policies are also endorsed by the Islamic representatives. Yet, those representatives seem to say nothing against those policies. I think what people are saying is that the policies are bad when the Zionists make them, and yet say nothing when the Islamic representatives vote and agree on said policies.

Either the policies are bad, even if the Islamic representatives agree to them, or they are bad no matter who makes them. And if the Islamic representatives agree to them, then that makes them hypocrites. So therefore, because they are hypocrites, then perhaps they need to stop the Zionist baiting, because they are part of the problem. That seems reasonable to me.

Is the problem because the Jews in the Israeli government make those policies? To blame the Israeli government is to blame the Islamic representatives as well, and yet no one does. Ergo, the answer is simply to blame the Jews and not the Muslims. Therefore, Anti-Zionism is Anti-Jewish.

In 50 years, Europe will be far different than it is today especially in demographics. I hate to think what it will be like for our future generations! There are areas around that are a prelude to what life could be like, East London in the UK for one and believe me, it isn't nice.

i agree it's similar to the notion of the west wanting to destroy Communism in the Cold war.

Lots of people in the Cold war wanted to wipe communism off the face of the earth. It didn't mean they wanted to wipe out the people of the Soviet Union.

I remember the Vietnam War. People have opinions today as they did then about the purpose and presence of the United States in South Vietnam, and those opinions were voiced loudly from protests to spitting on returning soldiers. The celebrities who protested later regretted and history proves that even though Vietnam was a war that we should have won, and could have won, but we did not win and part of that was the failure of the American people to accept or acknowledge the truth about the Vietnamese, Chinese and Russians.

The truth was that Vietnam and China were fighting a civil war, and the Russians were supplying the Chinese with weapons and funding them. South Vietnam was taken over, but the South Vietnamese tried to escape.

Thousands of people in Saigon tried to leave and the United States attempted to airlift as many as possible. The following atrocities of the Khmer Rouge and the killing fields was genocide against Cambodians. This is what happens when people oppose Communism, and yet the same people protesting our presence in Vietnam said absolutely nothing, NOTHING against Pol Pot. What we have to understand is that people will protest one government because it is much easier to accuse them of genocide and persecution, and turn the blame on to another group of people because it has been a convenience to do so throughout history.

Pol Pot's regime is exactly the same as Saddam Hussein. Pol Pot's regime is the same as current Islamic fascist states and yet, AND YET no word is said against them because the truth is, people are afraid to condemn them and turn against one group of people who have faced persecution for thousands of years.

It is those fascist regimes who manufacture and spread Anti-Zionist propaganda and people believe it and never ask who the sources of information are. The Jews in Israel are fighting for their right to live in a land of their ancestors because they have been forced out of so many nations, simply because they are Jewish. And who benefits from you believing the Anti-Zionism? Fascist governments with dictatorial regimes who are intent on taking over where you live and forcing you to live under their religious mandates.

When those governments are exposed for what they are, they automatically evade exposure by placing blame back onto Zionists, the reason...they want the world and people who do not condemn them are merely helping them. The Arab world and the Middle East is a current fight for life for many people and peace will never come when only one side is condemned. If you want them to have peace, then tell them that the Jews and Arabs and Christians have a right to live as they are, but by being politically trendy and blaming only Jews is simply wrong and slaps the face of humanity.

How do fascist governments take over countries? Do they take over only the parts of the nation that do not rely on money, or do they not also remove power from capitalists to control the money themselves?

The thread did not drift, as I was applying and comparing what people were doing then and now.

The people do not control the money in Communism either, the State does. That State government then allots poverty because they are controlling who gets what and the government officials still live greatly off the money. The people suffer and they have no freedoms.

These were people who did not live under Democracy or Capitalism. The government of China took the money from the people, the government became elite and millions of people suffered. And people think they have it bad but they can get on ATS and protest the government, protest Capitalist, protest anything and feel so disadvantaged. You have the right to say whatever you want against the government and "the elite", none of them are stopping you. Yet, you want to criticize a group of people that allow Arabs and Christians to abide by the Jews in the ONLY country in the Middle-East that allows it.

There are millions of poor Jews who live in this world who do not benefit from "Zionism" as you want to define it, and they have lived in nations that denied them the basic fundamental rights that you enjoy. I think it would be wise for you to sit and think about what rights and freedoms you do have and the fact no government entity is sitting outside your door right now ready to haul you off to prison or shoot you. But those governments who propagate the "Zionist Conspiracy" only want you to have those freedoms if you follow their Theocracies.

And from what I have seen in this world is that people do not want theocracies if it means Christian or Jew, they are not so bothered that theocracies in the Middle-East deny rights. So apparently, people must want the Islamic theocracy, if it means to do away with Jews. I just have to ask, do you think an Islamic theocracy is the best form of government?

Yes, Islamic governments are theocracies. That is not saying every Muslim is like the government, but every person who does not renounce the atrocities of those theocracies are merely helping that theocracy to flourish.

No, I am not saying you are Muslim. What I was saying is that people (not necessarily you) have denounced Israel as the despot government because of accusations of evil Zionism and yet say nothing against those other governments who are indeed despotic dictatorships.

That was what I was saying.

So, if one is against Israel, they must qualify it by pointing out another regime that they are against, or else they are an anti-semite?

Why is it that these things only apply to Israel?

Thousands of people daily speak out against the American government, without qualifying it with the other governments that they disagree with. Does this mean that all those who do wish for the erradication of all american peoples?

interesting slice from that link.....

...........
I hope you are now starting to see the truth behind the Nazi party and in fact they were not primarily German but were majority Jewish. So you had Zionist Jews, attempting to force the Non Zionist Jews to either conform to their demands, or face being put in the work (concentration) camps or worse face death.

Now in order for this political party to get the rest of the German population to back them, (remember just as the Jewish community was split between Zionist and non Zionist, so was the German population split between the National socialist and the non socialist groups) they needed to get the rest of their population to back them (the Nazi party) in order for them to begin their conquest of Europe. So how did they accomplish this? Simple, they pulled off a false flag operation that our history books document as the Burning of the Reichstag.

Hitler, through his elected officials, hatched a plan to burn what would be the equivalent of today's "white House" and blamed it on a fictitious person named Van der Lubbe. What the history books tell you about this person is a bold face lie and he didn't exist. It was Hitlers men who performed this operation and concocted the story that Van der Lubbe was a Communist and that communist were attempting to overthrow the government, when in fact it was the National Socialist, backed by the Zionist and their funding, that were actually behind it. ........

I have heard similar opinions from people actually from Germany in that era.

Many things were suspicious back then.

Hmmmmm...................

A country has it's own problems, when you throw more people with even more problems in the mix, you end up with a country with huge problems. I can't say I agreed with your post, but I agreed with the idea which came out totally racist.

I usually equate "racial awareness" to this: If a red headed guy comes up and slaps you, followed both another redhead and another followed by another, all the same red hair, wouldn't you be suspicious of the next redhead that walks up to you? It's normal. I've had MORE then my fare share of Arabs/Africans hating me in Europe because of my American background. I've met more "bad ones" then good, but that doesn't mean I'll totally ignore them or run for the hills when I see them. I give everyone a chance at least once. But in the back of my head, I'm always thinking, "is he the same as the others?".
