Iran: IAEA leaks make our nuclear scientists targets for Israel

www.haaretz.com

A senior Iranian envoy is accusing the head of the United Nations' nuclear body of security leaks that expose his country's scientists and their families to the threat of assassination by the U.S. and Israel.

In a letter to by International Atomic Energy Agency chief Yukiya Amano, Ali Asghar Soltanieh said the leaks in a recent report have made Iranian scientists "the targets for assassination by ... [the] Israeli regime and United State[s] of America intelligence services."

Regardless of how you feel on the Iran situation you almost have to admit that Iran is right in this instance. They have pointed out the illegitimacy of the IAEA. They obviously are not 100% trustworthy. These leaks help prove that.

Iran has never been shy on their suspicions of US and Israeli sponsored assassinations but I'm not exactly sure if this report puts their scientists under any extra pressure other than the most recently proposed sanctions that are supposed to affect their nuclear program.

Its true
It's the same argument the U.S. govt. gave when Wikileaks was putting information out, but if anything this arguments stands much stronger

You're right, I find this to be a much worse infraction than the Wikileaks saga.

I remember the Wikileaks causing a lot of drama for a bit but nothing major ever came out of them from what I can tell. In this case a brutal war may be waged on possible lies.

Indeed, how many US "agents" were killed because of those leaks? officially, zero. how many Iranian scientists are dead because of those leaks? Well, hard to say for sure, but there sure are a lot of assassinated Iranian scientists.

And if the US, Israel, or Canada, attack (Don't count Canada out, Harper is a friend of Israel and has already pledged our support to them) we can add to that total a lot of civilians who will die from the radiation release.

Not many Canadians are realizing how close we are to joining this war. We bombed the crap out of Libya so Harper will allow us to do it to Iran too. He won't care if there is a public out cry. The thing is a lot of Canadians just wouldn't care either way.

Alot of Iranian civilians are going to die, it's sad but that's the price you pay when you want to play with the big boys. The Iranian leadership has allready decided that having a nuclear capeability is worth the price, theres not much left now but to roll the dice.
