The common decent people have sacrificed enough.
To take back with force what is rightfully ours would be for the public good.
End once and for all this deadly game these despicable few are and have been playing
with our lives and the lives of our ancestors.
We have sacrificed enough.

How much did obamas birthday party cost the tax payers again.
GTFOOH (get the f* out of here).

We have nothing left to give up either. Gave up the house, rent the cheapest house I could find, my 6 year old high mileage car is paid off but I struggle to keep insurance and enough gas to get to work and back which is out in the country (no public transportation, and I walk everywhere else). I buy mostly food that's on sale only, use coupons as much as possible. Clothes are bought only when there's a really good sale, or even at the second hand store.

We gave up cable a couple years ago, but still have cheap cruddy internet. I keep our health insurance only because we had $30k in medical bills last year, and I keep my life insurance so my kids can go to college and be ok if something happens to me.

We don't go to the movies or out to eator anywhere else that costs money.

We live on cash only, no credit cards etc. If my car breaks down I'm probably screwed. I could get a bank loan, but
but I couldn't pay it back.

I think the 1% need to give up gold plated toilets, shoes that cost as much as a compact car, and jewelry costing more than a decent home...before the 99% gives up anything more...

They profit the most from whether the country does well, while we suffer the most when it fails...seems only fair...

I'm not saying the wealthy shouldn't enjoy the fruits of the labor. But, blatant extravagance is just disgusting. There is simply no reason ANY pair of shoes should cost over a couple hundred dollars....EVER... They only do because these nutjobs are paying that price for them.....

I agree it is disgusting. It is also freedom of expression. Should "some people" not be allowed free expression, or have their assets confiscated if they want to express something you personally find disgusting? Isn't that the basis of all censorship, really?

I'm not trying to derail this thread. It's just that I read your posts on all threads, and have seen you say this elsewhere. It just seems a bit at odd with your otherwise libertarian stance. Just askin.

I'm not willing to make a single sacrifice for the "good" of this country.

I don't believe in a social contract. Everyone here is only getting the best they can for themselves, without getting caught. The crowd will turn on me next, if they can do it without consequence.

The public is unworthy of any sacrifice you might make for them.

I will sacrifice for my own benefit.

Started growing my own food because it is now actually now CHEAPER to spend your liesure hours in a garden than it is to play video games but buy chemically saturated "rations" from corporations.

If you didn't need the video games, you wouldn't have to work at the sucky job you have.

Fair enough question. It's just that such blatant opulence is a prime example of how the current economic systems keep perpetuating the success of a small elite, while enslaving the masses not born to it, or lucky enough to hit it big. I'm not saying I support communism or socialism either. I'm all for haves and have nots based on effort and those who make it should be able to share that success with their progeny, etc. I wish I had a better solution I could offer up. I don't, and neither apparently, does anyone else...so we're kind of stuck with it.

I agree with you Gazrok,But you know as well as i do the 1% isnt going to give up anything the 99% are all taped out there is nothing more to give most of the families around me have no jobs and there isn't any to be had..Nothing makes me so mad as to see the elite running around with 3 thousand dollar suits or dresses and shoes that cost more then i would make in a month..The most I've ever paid for a pair of shoes is 50.00 and i felt bad about that,we cant afford to go to dinner unless we have coupons to cut the expense down..Your right blatant extravagance is disgusting when there is people out there that don't know when there next meal is coming from or if there going to lose there home next month

But will one socialite being deprived of her shoes fix the problem of homelessness and foodlessness.

If we killed all the rich, and left their rotting bodies to fester in the streets, and gave all their money to the poor, would poverty and homeless be ended? I am not passing judgement; I volunteer time every month at the local homeless shelter and food pantry. But some of the people on the bottom lack the skill set to fend for themselves.

And if you don't kill the capitalists, if you let them live and leave them poor, a lot of them will be rich again in 20 years.

No tovenar, One socialite being deprived of her shoes isn't going to fix the problem...I'm not into killing anyone.. But i am offended by these people that strut around showing off what they do have and not bothering to share this wealth with the poor and disabled that are fighting to hold on to what they do have ..The bottom line is i don't have a solution to this mess..peace,sugarcookie1
