Catholic official: Church aims to confront abuse, work with educators after Penn State scandal

I searched for this on the forum, but didn't come up with anything. Hopefully its not a repost.

I found this odd, though. The Catholic Church is now eagerly awaiting to help "educate" Penn. State and other schools on matter of child molestation?

"Pot, I believe you've met Kettle before..."

Although, I did stumble upon this thread while searching for this article:
www.abovetopsecret.com...

Seems over a year ago, Penn. State released a study on Catholic Priests and child molestation claims. Now, the Catholic Church can't wait to help these guys out.

The catholic church is the last religious organization that i would allow near these children.

It does not seem that the school has endorsed this idea, and I hope they don't.

True, I should have pointed that out.

As of now, I don't think Penn. State has accepted the help. But, wow...

Wat? Seems like a real legit idea... hey guise we're going to teach you how to not molest children *wink* *wink*

OP I liked that 'Pot I believe you've met kettle'. I may have to appropriate that phrase for personal use.

They probably are giving them a huddle on how to cover your tracks after getting caught.

I laughed out loud on this one. "School of hard knocks." LOL

Yes thats just what Penn State needs. Catholic Priests that are experienced in the subject.

The Catholic/Christian Church and the mindless followers that think that just because they go to church once a week that everything will be okay as they step over homeless people and turn a blind eye to every injustice in this world need a reality check. The Catholic and Christian church should have been abolished after the crusades. Like it or not its the truth.

Sure they do...

I mean, they've done in the past and it certainly ended the Church's protection of pedophiles in priesthood right?

The church makes me sick.

You only got away with it for 20 or so years.
The church is here to show you how to get away with it for millenia....
