Not taking it to heart, however I am pointing out tht there is a second side to the coin.

The issue with Turkey and the aid floatilla has nothing to do with religion. Neutral aid vessels can get supplies to Gaza and they know this. Since Israel is the blockading force, they, per the UN, can establish how supplies reach that area. In this case, Israel requires aid vessels to head to an Israeli port when the aid is off loaded, inspected, and sent to Gaza via ground routes.

Any neutral vessel who announces their intentions of violating the blockade, again per UN law, can be intercepted before reaching territorial waters and dealt with. If those vessels dont respond and refuse / repel boarding attempts, then Israel has every right to sink the vessels.

Turkey has talked about sending military vessels with the floatilla. The moment Turkey does that, the floatilla is no longer classified as neutral shipping, and can be attacked without any warnings from the Israeli military, as can the Turkish naval ships.

If these aid groups are so intent on getting aid to Gaza, then why dont they deliver the aid at Israli or Egyptian ports? These groups have sezied the blockade as a reason to attack Israel. The aid groups could care less about the palestinians in Gaza. If they did, they wouldnt use the aid shipments as a reason to challenge the Israeli blockade.

As we have seen in that region over to the last 60 years, the Palestinian problem has been hicjacked and used by arab governments to run their own agenda against Israel.

If the Palestinians were really that peacful, then the King of Jordan would not have needed to send in military units and kill 3k-6k palestinian militants who were pltting to over throw the Jordanian government.

The recent actions of the OWS have accomplished the same result as Arab countries. They seized on one issue, and now are exploting that one issue for their own personal agendas.

Dont beleive me, ask why Israel is on their radar screen instead of pushing for changes in the laws and oversight abilities of Congress. Why arent the OWS people going after Freddie Mac / Fannie May for asking for 6 biollion more in government assistance while the government liason approved more than 12 million in executive bonuses for the same company?

Some of you ATS'ers reall enjoy your enslavement a bit too much. It's obvious some of you are scared of some much needed change. Not everyone finds fulfillment in being corporate slaves and much more.

Wouldn't want to wake all of you up from that comfy nap of yours.

The "slave" rhetoric is not only getting old, it's extremist. A REAL slave would have a much different description of what it means to be a slave. Shoot--we're so far away from real slavery that I can't believe so many of you seem to buy into that argument. You have the freedom to assemble, to take or quit any job, or to move around wherever you'd like. You even have the freedom to whine about your existence. These days the closest you can come to being a slave is slavery to your own bad decisions.

I thought the exposing of Acorn having its tenticles all over this would have raised red flags, even among those protesting.

Apparently not...

Why is it that if I were to trespass on foreign government land alone I'd be arrested and face a prison sentence but if I were to do it as part of a protest group, I'd be able to get away with it and be cheered on by sheep on conspiracy sites?

As Black Sabbath said in the Dio years:

"If you listen to fools, the mob rules"

Nothing more than mob mentality being used here and yet another reason I dislike the "Occupy" movement.

If they are going to be conducting these types of activities then they should become a real political entity with leadership, direction, content and have a real Agenda.

I disagree, any attempt to create a leadership for the movement will serve only to dilute and centralize the protests in a way that they can be managed by external influences. They should be kept decentralized and generalized and all inclusive as to prevent being instrumentalized or disbanded. Keep it people to people (P2P). Leaving the only way to address the movement the requirement for politicians to offer solutions for the issues.

So OWS is protesting Israel now? We can add this to the list of things they protest. Like last week when they tried to occupy a BoA lobby because they invested in coal production.

WTF does this have to do with .. anything .. remotely related to the livelihood of Americans?

Nothing.

So we can just chalk this up as another publicity stunt by OWS for protesting yet a another new topic without solutions that, if we don't all stand behind, we are "sheeples."

It's getting really old.

well anything has to do with anything in this world and in all others !! don't you know we are all ONE and the OWS aim or goal is to make the powers in place understand that this world - OUR WORLD - belongs to the people and NOT to the economic forces behind closed doors !! Not difficult to understand no ?
so anything that in this actual times is putting the world in danger or in difficulties has to be put forward by everybody who cares about our future and our children's lifes !!

so what, the OWS may just walk in Wall Street and cry a bit about the economic disaster the greedy traders and bankers have created ?? they may not talk about the other issues in life making our world more and more inhuman ??? it's just all the same problem : the zionist state of Israel, the government up there is playing with fire since much too long !! look at all the threads here on ATS and read about their politics first and understand then that we have to protest against EACH political or economic power that acts against the people or the women or whatever !!!

we are no sheep any longer, we want also to stop all kind of pedo-porno criminal behaviour, ( bravo
Anonymus !! ) stop sharia up there by those crazy beardmen, stop Monsanto frankenfood criminal corn and other crazy food, stop BP oil spill in the oceans, stop macho agressivity against women, stop slavery in Asia, stop stop stop everything that destroys our lifes and spiritual well-being !!

So yes, as long as you are consequently thinking and acting for a better world, all protest against this inhuman politics and economics is totally normal and consequently forms a TOTAL and logical full protest !!!
Peace but not at all price !! stop the criminals killing our society on all sides by all means !!!

Occupy the Employment line!

I totally agree with you.
I think we should also occupy The White House and Downing Street and let them know how we feel about this crap that`s going on with the threats against Iran.

By all means, let them stop someone from leaving or going free.
It is called unlawful imprisonment, or kidnapping.
That would be fun to watch. OWS'ers hauled away on charges against foreign dignitaries.

OWS shows more of it's true colors every day.

the true colours of OWS movement are the fight for a BETTER , MUCH BETTER world man !!
no less no more !!
maybe you think it is already a better world now after some protest or what ???
just some weeks of protest and yep yop youpy we have a much better world .... no more protest needed, no more anger against the bankers and greedy traders playing with YOUR YOUR YOUR
( and mine also of course ) money you know ....the fight is NOT over, it just started and becomes more aware of the real actions to have ....

you speak like a wealthy person, not realising the poverty of millions of US citizens and others all over this corporations plutocratic crazy world !!

you must be very happy in your mansion, with your 55'' LCD screen and your nice food on the table ( Monsanto frankenfood or caviar and champaign ??? think about it ... ), your jacuzzi and your Rolls on the street ...

Hope you don't loose your money by those greedy bankers like Madoff or others ....
but maybe it should be good for your spiritual life and karma to feel the poverty, just once, the poverty and the difficulties of your fellow human beings ....

but do NOT judge people wanting to fight for their fellow men, trying to change reality for the best of every one.

I think their GPS device is a little off? Isn't the Bank of America building down the street? Protest about whatever they want as far as I am concerned. In fact, say some of the most radical and asinine things possible. Keep digging that ditch deeper why don't ya. People are starting to wise-up about these so-called activists. I say so-called because all I see are are bunch of rabble-rousers and hooligans. Are my labels a little harsh and blanketing the whole movement? Maybe they are and so what. It seems they have no regard for painting their issues and opposition with a broad brush.

From day one I have held skepticism about the true intentions of this group. I still hold that skepticism, and what happened in Boston is only solidifying my view even further. Fortunately this movement has not gotten violent and destructive. By pushing the envelope as they have up this point and doing everything under the sun to be as provocative and controversial is not going to gather the support they so desperately desire. This movement goes off on tangents like people change their clothes. What does loitering at the Israeli consulate have to do with economic inequality, the divide between rich and poor, or anything they have been hooting and hollering about up this point? I don't see the relationship?

I agree....not sure what they all are protesting anymore. They are all over the place, too many points of contention that quite frankly, are hard to keep up with. Sounds more like a reason to protest anything and everything but how are you going to unify a movement like that?

Ridiculous
What are they doing?

If you spread your very young wings too wide you won't cover anything
These people have zero focus

They have absolutely no idea what they want, what they support and what they condemn

They haven't even had any victories in the occupy movement yet and now they decide to branch off and do this?

I think they just made themselves even more confused then they previously were
And perhaps even alienated a few former members

This was about the economy, or at least they thought it was

You really do have a narrow-minded view of the world.

Many are sick and tired of the nation of Israel using self-defense as an excuse to completely destroy the Palestinians using apartheid and repressive tactics. In other words, one Israeli is hit with a rock and one Palestinian is hit by a rocket. Do you see how one-sided this conflict really is?

there are so much things going wrong and mad and sickening in this world, well yes it's about time we try to clean it all up no ??
so what, the whole society is being questioned, it's a total protest because well it's a total disaster !!!
we need time to change this crap, unify the movement ? well it is happening all over the world man, it's unifying if you didn't see it yet all over South America, North Africa, Europ, Asia, China, Japan ( "thanks" to Fukushima disaster ..... ) yes people are awakening and ask questions, good questions and more important they start talking to each other about the essentials ....
now, how to achieve all this ??? I don't know but what has to happen will happen, what must come shall come, but meanwhile I do not want to sleep like a puppet on a string hold by a trader/banker/neo-capitalist/corporate big bonus CEO/Monsanto crazy scientist/teaparty anti-masturbation etc.. bigot/ etc etc ....

First off, there is nothing wrong with having a JOB. Second, there is nothing wrong with working at the JOB and having creature comforts. Especially in the winter. There is no shame in having clean sheets on a warm bed and sleeping with a full stomach.

And while you're spewing your over the top self pity [I'm trying to save the world man!] crap understand that many of us agree in principle with what OWC is trying to accomplish but I and many others will not side with a MOB!

Speaking of Monsanto. Try this...
Put down your X-Box/PS3 controller and swipe the crumbs off your shirt and take a few minutes to read what other members are doing to inform the masses. Monsanto - Bayer Engineering Death: Bees, Bats and You?. Don't worry, there are plenty of nice colorful pictures too.

Hope you don't loose your money by those greedy bankers like Madoff or others ....

Assumptive rhetoric from the ill-informed eh? Some more lite reading with more colorful pictures...

I dunno man. I've been reading many posts and replies by those who want to change the world and the more I read about Socialism and Communism the less and less I want to be associated with them...

None of the idiots have ever lived under real Communism. It works great on paper in an abstract academic exercise but in the real REAL world people die and die by the Millions. All they have to do is look at the real history of Eastern Europe or the Soviet Union under Stalin or Red China under Mao and the 30 something million killed during the cultural revolution not to mention the likes of Pol Pot.

So NO

No thanks, you can have that changed world MAN!

Since when do random images paint a bigger picture?

I love how the OWS opponents are reduced to using isolated incidents to paint the movement as a whole in a negative light.

It's true that some groups will latch onto movements such as this to get their points across. The last time I checked, they weren't going to benefit otherwise because those parties are still fringe parties.

Ooook.. Can anyone explain to me why OWS, Operation Wall Street - dealing with corporate greed, feels that occuping the ISraeli embassy is in line with their stated goals?

As far as the comment about PressTV, save it. They are the offical mouth piece of the Iranian Government andhave a bad habbit of ommitting information or just out right lieing when it comes to the US / Israel.

The OWS movement has gone off the deepend and is turn ing more and more into the hypocritical protestors / reioters that show for the G-20 meetings.

I lso enjoy the double standard they show by demanding laws be followed and their rights respected while in the same breath advocate violence towards the police and anyone else who doesnt agree with their view point. These people remind me of the other groups from back in the day who went around wearing the Che Guevara shirts. People should really know the background of the groups they are going to support.

Yup - A proud day for OWS. To date they have pulled off a political first. They have managed to bring Ne Nazis, the Communist party and the Theocracy of Iran all under the same banner.

Yup..... Alfred Nobel would be proud....

These people chose to protest against something they believe in. Even if they were pretty much wasting their time with zero effect, it is a start. I know many of you are really against this movement for many reasons. I even have various things I do not like about the movement. This is not your normal movement though that you can just slap a label on.

Yeah I know press TV is the mouthpiece of Iran but the same can be said about any American or UK network for their respective countries. All media outlets serve a purpose.

People are quick to criticize the protesters and forget what the protesters are protesting about. Some of you may not agree, but the system is broken and corrupt in every possible way. I do admit that I am scared of what may happen if we changed the system but to only have it backfire and end up being worse off than we started. I know that is a good possibility if this movement succeeds.

I'm baffled how you came to this conclusion though...

They have managed to bring Ne Nazis, the Communist party and the Theocracy of Iran all under the same banner.
