The problem seems to revolve around the aid groups believing the blockade of Gaza is illegal. Israel, having declared the blockade, is iwthin their
rights to intercept any shipments heading to Gaza, regardless if its in international waters or not.
The blockade has been in place and is no secret. Any vessel that declares gaza as their intended destination is subject to:
* - warnings to turn back
* - diversion to an Israeli port to offload cargo, inspection of cargo and continuation to Gaza via land route.
* - Boarding the vessel should they refuse to comply with warnings.
If Turkey or another nations military vessels provide an escort for the aid ships, then those aid ships are no longer considered neutral shipping and
can be fired up, along with the naval vessels escorting the floatilla.
On the one side you have people arguing that Israel is in violation of UN / International Law.
On the other side you have violation of UN / international law by the floatilla groups.
Israel completely withdrew from Gaza and yet Hamas still fires rockets / missiles indiscrimintaely into Israel territory. Based on those actions it
further reinforces the ISraeli position about defense as well as intercepting aid ships.
So long as Hamas allows their own people / other groups to use Gaza as a staging ground to attack Israel, there wont be any peace. Not that it matters
since Hamas wants to wipe Israel off the map anyways.
