That's a huge coin.
Wow.

I wonder why they sandblasted the numbers on it.
It would been nicer shiny.

This is what evil does when others are starving and begging for clean water and warmth.

You say imagine using it at a petrol station, well the way the price of gas keeps rising, pretty soon we will need one of these for a fill up.

I think its a trial run for coinage when hyperinflation kicks in.

It's very pretty though.

1 ton of gold, wouldn't that put the value of the coin at around 35-40million US dollars. Or possibly even more considering the amount of work that went in to it.
It's huge! Pretty cool..

Shouldn't that gold be doing something a little more.... proactive, like feeding millions?

So you have a government company that produces a ridiculous object using "tens of skilled laborers" to then put it on display for the sheeple that then again are made to pay an entrance fee to see their own gold.

Crazy world we're living in.

It's about 56 million in gold. That's not counting any work. It's a bit smaller than I imagined though... gold is heavy stuff.

Sorry, that's actually 62 million. I accidentally used the short ton (US) instead of the metric tonne. Oops.
