I liked the guy showing up to OWS in Phoenix armed. He seemed like a nice person.

If I was there I would have brought a loaded pistol as a side arm. I have never shot anybody. Not once!--------------------

Watch out, the agenda driven squad will show up any minute and tell you that guy is a Neo-Nazi or whatever.

So obviously if you protest the gov't or corporatism you are a Neo-Nazi too right? Since our govt is pure and innocent of course.

Oh and 2nd Amendment rights are only supported by Neo-Nazis as well.

Bow down to the obvious propaganda!

Stop protesting because only evil terrorists protest.

I'm not sure what your intent is...but the truth is that "we" citizens should be as well armed as the police...indeed should we not be the same? It's how our ancestors operated.

To the horror of the rosey red glasses type people in the camp I was at, I legally carried my firearm under the laws of my state and the CCW permit I worked and received my training to get. However, I will be the first to say, my choice in carrying my weapon totally concealed was a nod to the fact we were camped in the downtown of a city who recently had the dubious honor of Murder Capital of the United States.

It was crime I carried for, not any conflict with authority. In fact, during protests or one particular night where a police raid was likely, that weapon was secured in my vehicle, specifically to prevent a tragic misunderstanding or bad assumption by Police who I'm sure knew who carried and who didn't.

Anyone showing up at an OWS rally or camp with OPEN carry of weapons is a fool and an agitator and I can't see it any other way. What are those weapons there for? If it's a statement or a bluff, they are a fool. If it's actually carried with intent to USE it, they are dangerous agitators.

Arizona or no Arizona, these camps are places that can turn violent in a heartbeat or go into conflict with police with little to no notice. Carrying an open firearm like this not only makes a challenge and major escalation to Police response, but invites everyone who thinks they are 'bigger and badder' to TAKE that weapon from the person carrying it, should trouble break out.

It's just a BAD BAD idea all the way around..... On the other hand, the camps could use far MORE CCW people who DO choose to carry for the pure criminal element that have taken up residence all around them.

Well, personally, I am too old and tired to run away. I hope things work out. Americans shooting Americans would make us some kinda banana republic. ----------

He spoke well. Some people say he's a Nazi. People say a lot of things. It seems that anyone in the medias eye is discredited before long. I'm not sure how he's a Nazi when he stood up for immigrants in the video. Doesn't sound very Nazi like to me.

This guy??

Yeah, very nice person...

J.T. Ready

Date of Birth: 1973
Location: Mesa, AZ
Ideology: Neo-Nazi

J.T. (Jason Todd) Ready, a former member of the neo-Nazi National Socialist Movement, specializes in bashing immigrants. After being court-martialed twice, Ready was discharged from the Marines for bad conduct in 1996. Ready, who has run for various Arizona offices usually without success, advocates for the placement of landmines on the border and rails against Jews and nonwhites. In June 2010, Ready led a group of armed extremists into the Arizona desert to apprehend immigrants and drug smugglers.

Criminal History

In 1992, Ready was arrested for damage to property and aggravated assault with a weapon. He accepted a plea bargain and was convicted of assault. Ready had been with a friend who destroyed a car mirror with a baseball bat.
In 1996, while serving in the Marine Corps as a lance corporal, Ready was court-martialed twice. The first time, after being absent for eight days without authorization, he was convicted of unauthorized absence, failing to follow an order or regulation, and larceny and wrongful appropriation. He was convicted, demoted to private and jailed for three months. Later that year, Ready was court-martialed again for conspiracy, assault, and wrongful solicitation and advice. He was found guilty, spent six months in detention, and was discharged from the Marine Corps for bad conduct.
In 2007, Ready was pulled over for driving a vehicle with a fake license plate. He was carrying a 9mm Beretta handgun at the time. Ready was arrested and charged for possessing a traffic preemption emitter, which is an illegal device that can change traffic lights from red to green(...0

Wow.... I'm speechless... I hadn't seen a picture with Rambo here in full battle rattle and with his gun show super-toy. What the HECK did he plan to do with his nifty AR- with every accessory known to man and a scope that can probably read newspapers at 300 yards?!

The man isn't helping anyone.... He's a walking poster boy for why we have restrictions on the mentally ill owning firearms. If OWS didn't throw this man out on his ear, on the spot...which they apparently did NOT....then they are as bad as he is.

I don't know why I hadn't gone digging all the pictures about this nut job...I normally do on a story. I'd just assumed he had a fairly standard AR- rifle to show the 2nd amendment and all that..which in itself is bordering on sheer lunacy under the circumstances. However, actually seeing that now? Oh geeze.. THAT is the kind of flaming lunatic I've just ended my day of shooting, quietly packed my gear and left the range entirely when I see pull up with a truck load of Bubba types bailing out along with him

Talk about a guy giving the rest of the gun owning world a real bad name!

It may be true this JT Ready guy is a neo-nazi but my question to all of you is this - do you change people like this through mockery, hatred and ostracism? No, of course you can't, The only way people like him will change is to be accepted by normal, caring people - then he just might want to "fit in" and start giving a damn too.

We need to stop reacting in anger and indignation and start reaching out, especially to people like JT.
Left to their own fears and paranoia this is what you get.
Are we going to be a human community or just little cliques of people who agree on a few key issues?

In the video that they're all going on about, JT voiced his disapproval of the killing of immigrants on the border. I think he already has changed. Maybe he finally got his chance to see what really happens on that border, and didn't like it as much as he thought he would. I think this guy should speak for himself before anyone assumes anything because of the past.

Then again, and with all due respect to your viewpoint here, there are some people who are what they are because they really like it there. They make a deliberate and willful series of choices that lead to what we see here. Perhaps some people need compassion and understanding shown them, but at least in my mind, there are lines that simply don't get crossed and then receive even the most passing of understanding from me. Racists, Nutjobs with live firearms, and child molesters rank right at the top of my short list for that. This guy seems to score 2/3 on my top points.

That guy is a racist and he is trying to discredit the protest and the good citizens who carry guns for protection. That guy would kill me if he saw me. He is part of white supremacist groups who want to hurt non whites. I can see right through this, the government is using this guy to discredit the protest and our 2nd Amendment rights.

That guy has to prove he is not a racist punk. I know some people who use to be in the neo-nazi movement that has change and are ashamed they were part of something that horrible. That man is sick and I hate white trash like that. Why is it always white people who are the loudest when it comes to guns, I think the government is trying to hurt the whole 2nd Amendment rights movement and trying to say only white racists own guns. They need to give non whites who care about their 2nd Amendment rights and are good citizens. I am an Mexican American and I strongly support 2nd Amendment rights for protection and protection from an evil government.
