These are very grim photo's indeed!

And I'm afraid things will only get worse....so....what next from the police?

This is true.

But again, if they were passers by my prerogative would be the safety of my children, meaning go down another street, go back the way you came...whatever it is I'd be avoiding this protest.

There's a video in the OP's news link showing a woman with a small boy holding her hand...she get's involved as someone is brought to the ground...still holding his hand and dragged him into the fray.

I'm the last person who will support police brutality but this picture isn;t giving us the whole story. If those kids had been sprayed they would crying desperately.

It's just my opinion that the cop isn't spraying the woman and her kids.

Look at the spray - to me, it looks like it goes behind them.

Are we sure this is pepper spray? I don't know what else it could be, but you can see it in both officers hands and the people don't look to be fighting to get away. I don't know just looks strange.

It's not the same cop. Look in the background. All the cops have those spray cans out.

Say what you will about the protesters worldwide, but they are fighting tyranny perpetrated by police and other powerful organizations. This type of behavior will become commonplace soon and with all of the cameras and video equipment out there in the streets we will be getting footage we will have to question because it is so horrible. Some stories seem too horrible to even be true, but video supports it unedited.

I am never surprised at what people are capable of especially those in positions of authority.

We did. Many do. Everything is about what the children are going to inherit, and many women who could not have baby sitters, have a right to stand up too.

Albeit, would never take children to some of these more high risk protests. The one we did was safe, Union and Native leaders were at the head, and when we arrived late, they said to put the women and children at the front, so we were hustled into the front, and walked many miles.

In the end, the union guys walked back with us carrying the signs and we talked politics the whole way. Good memories.

Regardless of location these animals have the same mentality, and it is sickening.

These aren't cops - no matter what the uniform says - they are brown-shirted goons propping up the state regime power structure. They're not there to serve or protect the citizens whatsoever. If the protest is peaceful, then why not? What are you saying? Parents shouldn't be allowed to protest unless they get a sitter for their children?

I find it unbelievable that a child could even be seen as a threat. It's not as if she is wieding anything that can be deemed to be a weapon, she is defenceless against this thug. Disgusting behaviour, brings absolute shame on the Police.

How can a person like that be a police officer? Did he join to protect people at first but ended up abusing his position after? Or did he just join to be cruel like these images show?

We're supposed to feel safe knowing that there are cops out there looking after us, but we just end up being afraid of criminals AND police alike.

Why is the woman in the black shirt leaning against the car?
Why is the woman being pepper sprayed just "hanging out", calmly defending herself from a direct pepper spray to the face.

Same goes with the first picture. No human reactions going on.

I am not saying these pictures are doctored.

I am saying it is VERY plausible that these are actors - and this could be more footage released to the internet to insight more anger.

Im calling shenanigans on this one.

The first photo was questionable but the one later in the thread makes even less sense if it were pepper spray.

Can anyone zoom in on the can so we can get a better idea what it is? The reactions of the people really make me question if its pepper spray.

What a coward!! I really think he is aming for that little girl. The angle he's spraying it is clearley aimed at the girl or someone hiding behind the girl. I would shove that can down his throat and pull the trigger. Worthless police like that make me sick... The only reason hes a cop is assert his power on people, hes not there to protect and serve.
