Here is a verse by verse commentary on Romans 11:25-36

25 I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in, 26 and in this way all Israel will be saved. As it is written:
“The deliverer will come from Zion;
he will turn godlessness away from Jacob.
--------

All of Israel will be saved. Many are godless with a hardened heart at the present moment. We can see this in many ways. Although there are many Hebrews who have found the truth of Christ, there are divisions among the various groups of Jews in the land of Israel and around the world.

--------
27 And this is my covenant with them
when I take away their sins.”
----------

A new covenant will be established when Christ returns as grace and mercy is extended to mankind.

----------

28 As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies for your sake; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs, 29 for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable.

----------

The patriarchs (Abraham, Issac and Jacob). The gospel is that of Jesus and the sacrifice for the atonement of sins on the cross. This does not nullify the gifts and calling promised by God. The call is for faith in God, calling sinners to repentance through faith in God.

----------

30 Just as you who were at one time disobedient to God have now received mercy as a result of their disobedience, 31 so they too have now become disobedient in order that they too may now receive mercy as a result of God’s mercy to you.

----------

As a result of the Hebrews rejecting Christ, salvation is extended to the gentiles. It goes without saying that this was the plan all along. If the Jews had received Christ, the gentile nations would have been next. Since the Jews denied Christ, the gentiles were the means to bring the Jews in. Either way, God culminates creation to the next week of 7000 years on time.

----------
32 For God has bound everyone over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all.

----------

We are all sinners bound by the law of the OT. We are all bound to the wages of sin and death. Through Christ, we all have access to salvation through God's amazing grace. Grace is unmerited favor on all mankind. Our salvation is near.

----------

33 Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God!
How unsearchable his judgments,
and his paths beyond tracing out!
34 “Who has known the mind of the Lord?
Or who has been his counselor?”
35 “Who has ever given to God,
that God should repay them?”
36 For from him and through him and for him are all things.
To him be the glory forever! Amen.

----------

God works in ways that cannot be fully traced by us. We can be assured that His work is for our good.

When is our salvation and for who?

Hebrews 9

23 It was necessary, then, for the copies of the heavenly things to be purified with these sacrifices, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. 24 For Christ did not enter a sanctuary made with human hands that was only a copy of the true one; he entered heaven itself, now to appear for us in God’s presence. 25 Nor did he enter heaven to offer himself again and again, the way the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood that is not his own. 26 Otherwise Christ would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world. But he has appeared once for all at the culmination of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself. 27 Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, 28 so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

He is not coming to bear sin. This is accomplished. His return is in victory to bring our salvation from the material realm. Why was the OT law necessary to accomplish this and how do we escape the demands of a law we cannot fulfill?

Galatians 3

23 Before the coming of this faith, we were held in custody under the law, locked up until the faith that was to come would be revealed. 24 So the law was our guardian until Christ came that we might be justified by faith. 25 Now that this faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian.

26 So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, 27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

----------

Who is 'we' mentioned above? How could we be held if 'we' were not here before the coming of faith?

----------

In John 3, Jesus says, "You must be born again." This is not an option. All eyes will see Christ return because all eyes will be on earth to see. This month marks a novelty event in history. 7 billion souls on earth. 14 billion eyes. Even those who pierced him will see.

----------

Revelations 1:7

Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him. So shall it be! Amen.

I'm really sick of religious threads on this site and hope that these don't continue forever. But what will come to pass is exactly as taught from the Bible because of universal consciousness. Basically the Christian religion has become the biggest belief system ever and there is no way to deny the teachings. One word changes everything though what was Jesus like and what was his real name? Yashua was and still is his name. Do not be decieved. Learn the name of GOD Yahweh. But your right Israel will be protected by Jesus the Anti Christ not Yashua.

Wha? You bash religious threads (There is a forum for them ya know?) and then turn around and say some stuff that fits your mindset concerning religion without taking into consideration of others views.

Truly bizarre.

When Jesus says "you must be born again", he is telling what we must do as each and everyone personally in order to be saved. You still have the option, which is why he weeds the goats from the sheep.

If all people were to be saved by default then there would have been no need for Jesus to sacrifice himself, it would be pointless. This is why universalism will not work, it makes the Lord's sacrifice into nothing and is a mockery to the Holy Spirit which is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. Not to mention there would be no need to weed the goats from the sheep or cast the goats into the fire. All roads do not lead to heaven, only 1 road leads to heaven. That road is Jesus Christ.

You get all the millions of chances during your lifetime to accept Jesus Christ, once you die that is it, there are no more chances.

Jesus is not the anti-christ. Jesus is the english rendition of the greek name of Yeshua, "lesus" because there are no J's in the greek alphabet. The name of Yahweh is Yeshua "the Lord". God is not a moron. You could call him the Kool-aid man and he would still know who it is you pray to in your heart. When you say "Jesus" he knows that you are referring to him.

Many of the books written in Jesus' time were in greek and greek was a common language spoken in Israel in those days. They had spoken greek ever since Alexander the Great conquered the assyrian empire. Before you go bashing people's beliefs you need to re-examine your knowledge of history and change your way of thinking.

Indeed not all know, the 10 lost tribes were sundered from the lands of Israel in 740 and 722 B.C.E., i have a thread on it below:

www.abovetopsecret.com...

Most likely there are a large number of Afghan's and Kurds that are members of the 10 Lost Tribes, as that was the general area they were deported to in those ancient times.

I am always fascinated by posts like this. Can you reference where you get your insight?

I am with you that Yahshua (Correct spelling) is a name that represents the savior. Did you take the Lords name in vain by misspelling it? NO. Neither do I take the Lords name in vain by calling Israel God's chosen people and Jesus by His name.

The sacred name movement holds the name you reference. Jesus is also a name that represents the same person. Regardless of what letters are used, the letters of the name is not the significant part. The character of the name and what it represents is what holds the significance, not the characters used. For most people in this world, the word 'God' represents the one true God and Jesus represents His Son. Taking the Lord's name in vain is not cursing, although this is a symptom of taking His name in vain. Taking the Lords name is taking on His character in word but not deed. In the end, this is all that matters to God--our hearts. Our character is our name to God. His character is His name to Him. God has many names that reveal aspects of His character to us. God is infinity so we need not bother with thinking we can fully understand His names. The Bible uses many of His names in context to stories in the Bible. The names reveal His character to us so we can take on that character for ourselves. The letters of the name are not significant since God cannot be represented by the material, but only by the spiritual.

The question for our ultimate salvation is not the name in letters, but the blood shed for our sins. The name represents this sacrifice of love to and for us. The question is: Do we we represent that character or do we take the name in vain?

For Christians, the name of Jesus represents loving others--even enemies. God is one of the others to be loved.

For the Muslims, Jesus is their messenger. The message to them is the same as the message for Christians. Do they follow this message, or take it in vain? Seemingly, no better than any of us. We are ALL under the bondage of sin as indicated in the OP.

For the Jewish people, the name of Jesus will mean mourning when they realize that He died for them. Their hearts will turn when a sign appears. The Muslims will do the same.

Three faiths and many nations will unite to destroy the evil that controls this world.

No universalism here. I agree with you. Is there a judgment of God or a final judgment? The answer is, there is a final judgment, which implies other judgments that came before. At the final judgment, God will separate the wheat from the chaff. Until them, we are waiting as it states in Hebrews 9. Where are we waiting?

Each person will live once. The soul cannot die. It lives on. The mystery is where the souls resides. Any answers?

Hebrews 9

27 Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, 28 so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

Check the OP. We are all being held in bondage until salvation appears with Christ.

Your spirit waits in heaven or hell, according to wether or not you accepted Jesus Christ. These are the waiting grounds. However when new jerusalem descends from heaven the saints shall reside there with Jesus for 1000 years.

You are right there is more than one judgement day, the first one is Christ's second coming when he judges mankind and any unsaved that remain are destroyed at armageddon. Not one unsaved soul will enter into the millenial reign. Ofcourse you know the rest, where satan is loosed for a season to test those who were born during the millenial reign as they shallbe the children born who have not made the choice to accept Jesus or reject him and then its the final judgement, where the fallen angels, Satan and those people who followed him get to take a dunk in the lake of fire and cast into the outter darkness forever.

Not speaking for Lazarus short, but....

Israel = comprised of the tribes from Jacob. Can be any religion today.
Jew = derived from the name "Judah", one of the tribes / today are followers of judaism which consciously denies Jesus.

Dont use the words "Israelite" and "jew" interchangeably...
Jews claim descent from the israelite tribes*, which is true to a certain extent. But that does not mean everybody in the old testament era were jews.

Ask yourself..."jew" is derived from Judah, a great grandson of Abraham. So then what was Abrahams religion? And what was the religion of Noah, Seth, Enoch.. etc.. all of whom who lived BEFORE the word "jew" was coined?

Well said. I do not believe the OP understands the difference between Israel and Judah and the southern and northern kingdoms. They most certainly are not all Jews. And a close look at Amos, Joel, and Ezekiel will reveal that Israel will come under judgment. God will separate the wheat from the chaff leaving nothing evil that can be a part of the restored kingdom. God will move against all evil. Even the evil within his chosen people. He would not tolerate evil in them years past, nor will he do so now or in the future.

The week is not over yet. Prophecy will rarely happen the way we perceive. I will be wrong and so will you. We can only connect the dots looking back. We can still try. I see it this way:

First, the ones taken, mentioned at the end of Matthew 24, are the ones judged, just as in the days of Noah. The ones hidden in the ark are the ones that were left. Remember, the law was our guardian. Galatians 3:23-29. When the lawless one is revealed, Christ comes to remove him.

There is still one day (1000 years) until this is fully realized. Jesus answered them, "Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days."

Adam to Noah 2000 years
Noah to Jesus 2000 years
Jesus to today 2000 years (2 days)

1000 makes a week. The reign of Jesus on earth to raise the temple is the third day.

Psalms 9:7 But the LORD shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment. (8) And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness.

Revelation 17:14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful And Revelation 19:16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

Jeremiah 23:5 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.

Isaiah 11:4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.

Psalms 96:10 Say among the heathen that the LORD reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously. (11) Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof. (12) Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice. (13) Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.

Psalms 67:4 O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah.

Psalms 96:13 Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.

Psalms 98:9 Before the LORD; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.

Isaiah 16:5 And in mercy shall the throne be established: and he shall sit upon it in truth in the tabernacle of David, judging, and seeking judgment, and hasting righteousness.

Jeremiah 23:5 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.

Micah 4:3 And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

Epistle of Barnabas

Barnabas 15:3
Of the Sabbath He speaketh in the beginning of the creation; And
God made the works of His hands in six days, and He ended on the
seventh day, and rested on it, and He hallowed it.

Barnabas 15:4
Give heed, children, what this meaneth; He ended in six days. He
meaneth this, that in six thousand years the Lord shall bring all
things to an end; for the day with Him signifyeth a thousand years;
and this He himself beareth me witness, saying; Behold, the day of
the Lord shall be as a thousand years. Therefore, children, in six
days, that is in six thousand years, everything shall come to an end.

I will concede that you may very well be correct. Consider the verses that I just posted. God apparently loves a good mystery. I do not hold my theology in pride. I am always open to more of the mystery to be solved. This is why I am here.

Why not? Peter used the terms interchangeably.

"But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:"

Acts 2:14

"Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:"

Acts 2:22

Do you know something Peter was ignorant of?
