Epic Geomagnetic Storm Erupts

Right this moment, there's an epic magnetic battle raging above our heads.

On Monday, at around 2 p.m. ET, a coronal mass ejection (CME) slammed into the Earth's magnetosphere. According to NASA's Space Weather Laboratory, the conditions were just right for the CME's magnetic field to compress the Earth's magnetosphere so much that, for a short time (between 3:06 p.m and 3:11 p.m. ET), energetic solar wind particles penetrated as deep as geosynchronous orbit -- home to hundreds of communication satellites.

Oks I searched but did not see anything posted on this. I am wondering how this will affect the Earth as a whole. And what the effects will be to us, humans who live on this planet.

Could be the start of something major happening to the Earth, or is it really nothing to worry about?

Epic Geomagnetic Storm

If I can have other members thoughts on this. Thanks in advance.

Check the date on your article.

I believe that's the storm that alread hit and gave us the Northern Lights show.

Now there was a large CME a couple days after that one you have - I think they said it was Mars directed though.

This storm has already passed, I believe. From what I heard, it gave quite a wild show of the aurora borealis quite far south into the United States.

I guess when you posed this question:

I thought the rules was you had to post the exact Title which is on an article?

Then if you make up your own title rather than copying a title you are warned for it/

We loose either way.

You didn't pay any attention to this answer, or this answer:

Only the news forums require exact headlines.

Breaking Political News
Breaking General News (BTS)
Breaking Alterntative News

Any other forum, you can choose the title you want, so long as it falls within the T&C and isn't a misleading...too much..
