So are you saying people should only try to change things in those ways? Are you saying that speaking up is pointless? If so, how will others come to find out how bad Facebook is?

Exactly! Use it to open all eyes you can, I have been trying but my opinions are not received as well as I wish they would be. It's all good though, I am sick of all the lol's and pics of kittens in trees with some cheesy comment underneath, and I like cats btw. Plus I feel like everything I type is being scrutinized by a federal agent in a cubicle in one of the basements at the Pentogram, I mean Pentagon, unlike the security and privacy of ATS......LOL.

But what is more likely to happen is they will fail and go on to deny trying in the first place claiming that the whole "takedown facebook" operation was a fake put out by anon haters.

I personally LOVE facebook, although I hate the fact that my computer is to slow to play some of the apps.

It has become an awesome way for me to keep in touch with all of my family and a lot of my friends. I could care less if it tracks where I go as long as it doesn't swipe card numbers which I am not dumb enough to use online anyways.
If you are worried about where you go online being tracked because of shady sites maybe you should be caught anyways if you ask me.

I think people give things like Facebook to much credit.

I hope anon doesn't take it down, but if they do, no biggie, it will be up again, and if not, no biggie.
I will find somewhere else to kill time.

You remember when there was a supposed Anon video claiming they were gonna take down the NYSE,they refuted that quickly.

This claim about facebook has been floating around for awhile.

I use Facebook to stay in touch with
my out of state family and friends.
Also to post any news I think people
need to know goes on my Wall.
Other than that I don't like the
website. Those stupid games,
the fact you can't edit or delete.

You cant edit but you can delete. Go to right hand corner of post (upper) and click the "x"

I had a Facebook account for about a minute. I couldn't stand the fact that all these people from High School all of a sudden want to be my "friend." It felt invasive just by that, let alone the whole privacy issue. I deleted that account. It was too Jr. High-ish, High-School ish for me.

Instead of big brother they can support the corporations.. Ah well guess it keeps them off the streets and in their cages..erm..homes under control.. after all cant have citizens think for themselves..big brother would have nothing to do..

To delete your FB account go here >>> www.facebook.com... for Info on it then here to delete >>> www.facebook.com... ETA...you have to not use FB in anyway for 2 weeks [dont click "like"on any sites etc.] before your account is actually deleted when using this method.

I have a facebook account with all false information
my friends know my alias and I keep only 2-3 pictures
on there.

If they terminate my account so what?

I also keep it to stay in touch with friends
from when I moved. They don't know what msn messenger
or aim is all they know is face book instant messenger
and there e-mail so the only way to talk to them is either
call them or a quick chat on face book.

I have firewall and block all cookies that I can
and make sure I sign out after i visit and have tweaked
the privacy settings to get as much privacy as I can.

Also as others said it is good for complaining about
products or leaving comments on sites that only
allow you to use a face book account, finding bands ect.

I go on it only when I get an e-mail sent that notifies me
a friend messaged me. Totally a separate e-mail used only for facebook.

I like google + better anyways. This new social network in the OP
seems just like a business venture, seems cool but I doubt it will
be any useful because facebook is just so freaking big now.

I deleted my account a few months back now, and it was mainly for their stupid silly a$$ lack of privacy. Anyway, I used to have friends I hadn't seen in a long time, and it got me connected with them for a couple of days straight but soon it was a thing of the past.

The LAME excuse of a lot of people is that "That's where I have my friends!!!". Really? What happened when this social network wasn't available? We are becoming ROBOTS and ANTI-SOCIALS, we don't go out anymore because we are talking to our friends online. If you really want to use online services to talk online just voice it by calling them using skype or other software alike. What about a normal phone? Nowadays long distance charges don't apply to a lot of countries (I mean withing their respective countries), so you can't use the excuse of long distance charges fee. WE ARE SIMPLY TOO LAZY!!!!!

You want to stay on FB then go ahead, it is your own call!
