Hi all, i have been using ATS for a while now but never actually signed up and made a post.
So today i noticed something quite strange and was interested in your thoughts!

Not much to it but,
I live in South Australia and the sun usually rises just as i get to work about 10 to 7Aam. (Maybe slightly off)
Well today i was woken at about 5.30 am by guess who.. the sun!
I am completely dumbfounded on why it rose so early, I'm guessing a hole hour earlier maybe more.
I verified this with co-workers and friends and they all thought it was strange to :/

What the hell would make it rise earlier?
I did a quick search and found the sun rose to days earlier in Antarctica or something as well?
My only conclusion is a celestial body getting closer????

Also yesterday was a nice sunny day, no wind, then today cant even see the sky theirs so much cloud cover, and very high winds. This could just be the weather but seems a bit odd to me.

Anyway interested on your opinions, things just keep getting weirder and weirder everyday!

Hello and welcome. I too live in Adelaide but slept though the sun rise (my day off) but will have a look at for it tomorrow morning when I have to get up early. A north/west wind started to blow in yesterday giving us this warm and stormy weather. Will keep a look out.

Welcome fella. I just want to be the first to tell you that your thread will be flooded with all of our ATS resident experts on ANY and EVERY subject in the world. We have them here, trust me. They will come to tell you that you are delusional and that you are wrong and that your clocks are wrong and that your eye sight is wrong.

Just giving you a heads up.

I believe you. I have been hearing a lot about this type of thing. This reminds me of the lady who lived in an Apartment for 20+ years and saw the sun rise in the same exact spot every morning up until a few months ago where it rose in a different spot.

G'day and welcome to ATS.

According to

www.timeanddate.com...

It should have risen at about 6:10am

Given twilight is about an hour at Adelaide's latitude, the sky would begin to get lighter about an hour before.

Did you actually see the sun?

Sorry but sunrise this morning in Adelaide was at 6:11 am ... EXACTLY when it was supposed to rise.
It did NOT rise half an hour or even 1 hour earlier then it should have.

How can the sun rise so much earlier for you, yet it rose just at the time as was noted in my Farmer's Almanac in my area?

Any scientist out here in ATSLand who can explain this?

You sure the sun rose early? Nautical twilight in Adelaide is 5:16. Sunrise is 6:11, so you're already a little off with your solar observations.

By the tilting of the earth on it's Axis, I believe. It's fairly simple. Are you sure it rose that early ? I know people down in New south wales and they haven't mentioned it.

The earth would have to increase speed.

But this is ATS and there are probably some who think it's a;liens using the radiation from Fukishima with authorisation from Obama.

His altitude must have been quite high for an early sunrise, astral projection?

All jokes aside.

Who really knows. You perceived it as an early sunrise, nobody can change your perception.

The above post asked about the altitude of your observation.
I think this question is decidedly on topic

I'm from Adelaide too.

I was asleep then. Sorry.

Weather, I've seen stranger in Adelaide, plus it seems fairly normal. She usually does this after a hot day, brings in cold and showers. It's like she can't cope with nice warm weather. Has always been like it for as long as I remember.

The only thing strange was the cold summer we had. THAT was strange.
