Obama ad libbed and got it wrong. It would have been more acurate to say he was one of the founders or one of the most important figures in the party's formation.

Again the OP is about PBS covering this up when in fact they, along with others, just posted the speech as written.

kptv still has that version posted while PBS has updated to show the error. This thread was wrong from the start.

You seem to be pretending that I didn't debunk your OP?

PBS recieved the speech, as did every news outlet, before it was given. That was the original transcript they published and then they later edited it to reflect his actual remarks including the Lincoln ad-lib.

If you contend that PBS had originally edited the transcript for political reasons, then would you care to explain why Fox News did the same thing? Do they have a "Liberal Bias"?

So, the new obama tactic is to have two copies of a speech. A "sanitized" "prepared" version. And then the one actually given that perhaps millions of people hear or read about.

Let's see, which version can and does carry more weight, the words actually said, or some "prepared copy"?

Based on the left's reactions to any gaffes Bush, Palin, Bachmann, or any Republican makes in speeches, it MUST be the actual words spoken.

Now we are just getting more attempts by progressives to have it both ways.
